Vireä ikääntyminen : esteettömyys vanhuspalvelujen kehittämisessä

Abstract

Tämän opinnäytetyön aiheena oli vanhusten palvelukeskuksen toimintojen ja tilojen kehittäminen keskeisenä näkökulmana esteettömyys. Kohteena tässä työssä käsitellään Mynämäen kunnan vanhusten palvelutaloalueen saneerausta. Konkreettisena kehittämistyönä on ollut alueen toiminnan ja siihen tarvittavien tilojen suunnittelu. Opinnäytetyön teoriaosuus koostuu vanhuksille suunnattujen asumispalvelujen tavoitteista, niin strategian kuin käytännön tasolta tarkasteltuna. Esteettömyyden käsitettä ja sen käytännön merkityksestä on kuvattu esteettömyyden periaatteiden, osa-alueiden sekä esteettömyyskartoituksen kautta. Opinnäytetyö toteutettiin toimintatutkimuksena. Toimintatutkimuksen osa-alueina tässä kehittämistyössä käytettiin nykytilanteen kartoitusta, sen analyysiä sekä kehittämisehdotusten tekoa. Kehittämistyötä on tehty ryhmässä, jossa on ollut laaja-alainen vanhus- ja teknisen alan asiantuntemus. Nykytilan kartoituksessa ja aikaisemmin kunnassa tehtyjen selvitysten perusteella esille nousi selvästi vanhusten palvelujen laaja-alaistaminen ja tilojen suunnittelu esteettömyyden periaatteen näkökulmasta. Nykytilan analyysin perusteella keskeisiksi tavoitteeksi tuli palvelukeskuksen kehittäminen hyvinvointikeskukseksi, jossa palveluja tarjotaan asukkaille, kotihoidon asiakkaille, omaishoitajille ja kaikille kunnan ikäihmisille. Opinnäytetyön kehittämistyön tuloksina syntyivät toimintasuunnitelma, tilasuunnitelma sekä esteettömyyssuunnitelma. Toimintasuunnitelman tavoitteena oli palvelu-rakenteen laajentaminen ja monipuolistaminen. Suunnitelman mukaan palveluja tullaan tarjoamaan kaikille kunnan vanhuksille toimintakunnosta tai asumisratkaisuista riippumatta. Laaditut tila- ja esteettömyyssuunnitelmat tulevat tarjoamaan ratkaisuja ja malleja tulevalle rakennussuunnittelulle.

The topic of this thesis was the developing of the activities and premises for the center of seniors from the view of accessibility. The case in this work was to redevelop in the county of Mynämäki situated old senior houses to be a center of welfare. The concrete target in this thesis is the designing of activities and their environments and spaces. The theoretical part of the thesis consists of targets of senior citizens living services, as well viewed from the strategic as practical level. The abstract of the accessibility and its meaning in practice has been described from the view of its principals, parts and surveying of accessibility. The thesis was fulfilled with the activity research. The parts of the activity research were the surveying of the present state, analysis and propositions of developing. The developing has been done by the group with high level of expertise on elder people and technical matters. In the surveying of the present state and in the earlier in the county made reports was raised up clearly the broad making of services of elder people and designing of the space from the view of accessibility. On the ground of the analysis of the present state in this thesis was, that there were founded the critical targets to develop of the service center as a welfare center, where the services are available for residents, people using home care, caregivers and all elder people in the county. Results of the developing were planning of activities, planning of space and planning of accessibility. The target of planning of activities was to expand and variegate the structure of services so that it serves services to all elder people are they in good condition or how they live now. In this thesis made planning of space and accessibility are available to use in future planning of architect and structure of building.
