Aidat matalammaksi : erityistä tukea tarvitsevien oppilaiden oppilaanohjauksen hyvät käytänteet ja niiden kehittäminen Meriluodon koulussa

Abstract

Kehittämishankkeen tarkoituksena on tuoda esille Meriluodon koulussa erityisluokilla opiskelevien oppilaiden opinto-ohjauksen hyvät käytänteet ja kehittää uusia käytänteitä, joiden avulla erityistä tukea tarvitsevat nuoret parhaiten löytäisivät oman jatko-opinto polkunsa. Erityistä tukea tarvitsevan oppilaan koulupolku voi olla hankala kulkea. Oppilaat kokevat olevansa muita huonompia, heidän itsetuntonsa on monien epäonnistumisien kautta heikko. Opiskelumotivaation kannalta olisi erittäin tärkeä päästä opiskelemaan itselle kiinnostavaa alaa, jos ala ei kiinnosta, koulutuksen keskeyttämisriski kasvaa ja samalla nuori on vaarassa syrjäytyä. Oppilaiden kaikinpuolinen tukeminen on satsaus tulevaisuuteen. Pieksämäen seutu oli mukana Opetushallituksen laajassa perusopetuksen, toisen asteen ja aikuiskoulutuksen oppilaan- ja opinto-ohjauksen kehittämishankkeessa. Tämä työ on osa seudullista hanketta, joka päättyi 2007. Hankkeen tavoitteena oli oppilaitosten välisen yhteistyön ja nivelvaiheiden ohjauksen kehittäminen, ohjaustoiminnan kehittäminen oppilaitostasolla ja seutukunnallisen yhteistyön ja eri hallinnonalojen välisen yhteistyön kehittäminen. Hankkeen aikana järjestettiin koulutusta, tutustuttiin eri oppilaitoksiin ja kehitettiin nivelvaihe yhteistyötä. Pysyviksi käytänteiksi muodostuivat ohjausväen säännölliset tapaamiset ja siirtolomake perusopetuksesta toiselle asteelle.

The purpose of the development plan is to bring forward the good methods of the student guidance for pupils with special needs in Meriluoto School and also develop new methods which allow the students with special needs find their own suitable studies after secondary school. The school attendance beginning from primary school to secondary school can be very difficult. The students feel that they are poor compared to the others. The self esteem of the inferior pupils is weak because of many failures. It would be very important for the motivation of the students to study the field that they are interested in. If the field is not interesting enough , the risk of dropping out the studies grows and causes the danger of social isolation. The area of Pieksämäki took part in the wide developing plan regarding the student guidance in the basic education, the second grade and the education for adults organized by the Ministry of Education. This project is part of the local plan which ended in 2007. The aim of the plan was to develop the co-operation between schools and the pupil guidance in transitional phase, and to develop the guidance in the schools and the cooperation between the whole area of Pieksämäki and between the different administrative. During the plan courses were held and different schools were introduced. Also the guidance of changing schools was developed. The regular meetings of the guidance workers and the transfer form for the transitional phase became permanent traditions.
