Noninvasiivisten hengitystukilaitteiden laiteajokortti yhteistyössä Keski-Pohjanmaan sosiaali- ja terveyspalvelukuntayhtymä Soiten lastensairaalan kanssa

Abstract

Sosiaali- ja terveysministeriön mukaan sairaanhoidossa teknologian käyttö on yleistynyt ja yleistymässä edelleen. Sairaanhoitajilta teknologian käyttö vaatii laitteiden oikeaoppisen valmistelun, huoltamisen ja käytön, jotta laitteella annettava hoito olisi tarkoituksenmukaista ja turvallista.

Opinnäytetyö on tehty Centria-ammattikorkeakoulun lopputyönä. Toimeksiantajana ja työelämän kontaktinamme on toiminut Keski-pohjanmaan sosiaali- ja terveyspalvelukuntayhtymä Soiten las- tensairaala (SOITE). Opinnäytetyömme on laadultaan tuotekehittelyprojekti. Opinnäytetyön tar- koituksena on ollut luoda yhteistyössä lastensairaalan kanssa heille uusi laiteajokortti noninvasii- visista hengitystukilaitteista. Tavoitteena on laiteajokortin avulla varmistaa hoitajien riittävä ja tur- vallinen laiteosaaminen sekä samalla helpottaa uusien työntekijöiden työhön perehdytystä.

Työmme kirjallisen osuuden teoreettisen lähtökohdat ovat hengitysvajauksesta kärsivän lapsen hoi- totyö, hengitystä tukevien laitteiden laiteajokortti, teknologia hoitotyössä sekä hengitystä tukevat laitteet. Tietoa näistä olemme hakeneet useista luotettavista tietokannoista ja noudattaneet eettisiä periaatteita.

Tuotekehittelyprojektimme vaiheet ovat koostuneet kehittämistarpeen tunnistamisesta, ideoinnista, suunnitelmasta, toteutuksesta ja tuotteen viimeistelystä. Projektimme on aloitettu jo syksyllä 2017 aiheen valikoiduttua. Ideointivaiheemme oli suhteellisen pitkä, ja varsinaista työtä aloitimme kir- joittamaan n. vuoden kuluttua projektin aloituksesta. Työn kirjallinen osuus on valmistunut suun- nitellusti ja tiiviissä yhteistyössä ohjaavan opettajan ja työelämän kontaktin kanssa.

Lopulliseen laiteajokorttiin jaoimme vaiheet hoidon aloitukseen, hoidon aikaiseen vaiheeseen, hoidon lopetukseen sekä ongelmatilanteisiin. Näiden sisällä on jokaiseen vaiheeseen liittyviä toimintoja. Kortin suorittajan tulee ensiksi nähdä laitteen käyttö ja osoittaa oma osaaminen, ja minkä jäl- keen hän saa suoritusmerkinnän hyväksyjältä allekirjoituksella. Jatkotutkimusehdotuksina esitämme tehtävän tutkimus kehittämämme laiteajokortin hyödyllisyydestä. Kannustamme myös luo- maan muista lastensairaalassa käytössä olevista teknologisista hoitolaitteista uusia laiteajokortteja.

According to the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, the use of technology in medical care has become more widespread and becoming more common. The use of technology by nurses requires proper preparation, maintenance and use of the equipment to ensure that the treatment provided by the device is appropriate and safe.

The thesis was made as a final thesis for Centria University of Applied Sciences. The commissioner and our contact with working life was the children's hospital of SOITE, Central Ostrobothnia Joint Municipal Authority for Social and Health Services. Our thesis was a product development project. The purpose of this thesis was to create a new device driver’s license for non-invasive respiratory equipment in co-operation with the children's hospital. The aim was to ensure that the nurses have adequate and safe equipment know-how and at the same time to facilitate the orientation of new employees.

The theoretical starting points of the written part of our work were the care work of a child suffering from a respiratory failure, a device driver’s license for breathing devices, technology in nursing, and breathing support devices. For information we searched for a number of trusted databases and followed ethical principles.

The phases of our product development project were identifying, developing, designing, implementing and finishing the product. Our project started already in autumn 2017 after the selection of the topic. The innovating phase was relatively long and we started writing the actual work about a year after the project started. The written part of the thesis was completed as planned and in close cooperation with the supervising teacher and working life contact.

In the final device driver’s, we divided the steps to starting treatment, during treatment, ending treatment and to resolve problems. Within these, there are functions associated with each step. The cardholder how the device is used, demonstrate his / her own expertise, and then receive the signature from the facilitator. As further research proposals, we present a task study on the usefulness of the device driver’s license we have developed. We also encourage the creation of new device driver’s licenses for other technological care equipment at the children's hospital.
