Lonkkamurtumasta kuntoutuminen : Kuntoutumista tukeva hoitotyö

Abstract

Tämä opinnäytetyö oli projekti, joka tehtiin yhteistyössä Sauvosaaren sairaalan osasto 2:n kanssa. Sauvosaaren sairaalan osasto 2:lla oli tarve tehostaa lonkkamurtumapotilaiden kuntoutumista. Projektin tarkoituksena oli lisätä hoitohenkilökunnan tietämystä lonkkamurtuman jälkeisestä kuntoutumisesta opasvihkon avulla. Tarkoituksena oli lisäksi saada lonkkamurtumapotilaiden hoitojaksot lyhentymään osastolla tehostamalla kuntoutumista tukevan hoitotyön toteuttamista.

Tässä projektissa käsiteltiin lonkkamurtumista vain traumaperäisiä reisiluun yläosan murtumia, leikkaushoitoa, yleisimpiä komplikaatioita sekä varauslupia. Murtuman korjausmateriaaleista esiteltiin vain Länsi-Pohjan keskussairaalassa käytettävät lonkkamurtuman korjausmateriaalit. Lisäksi projektissa käsiteltiin lonkkamurtumasta kuntoutuminen, kuntoutumista tukeva hoitotyö sekä moniammatillinen yhteistyö.

Tämän projektin tavoitteena oli yhtenäistää hoitajien toteuttamaa kuntoutumista tukevaa hoitotyötä lonkkamurtumapotilaiden kuntoutumisessa ja ohjata hoitajia opasvihkon avulla tukemaan lonkkamurtumapotilaiden omatoimisuutta päivittäisissä toiminnoissa ja liikkumisessa. Projektin toiminnallisena tavoitteena oli toteuttaa koulutus Sauvosaaren sairaalan osasto 2:n henkilökuntaa, jotta tiedon ja taidon lisäännyttyä käytäntö osastolla muuttuu kuntoutumista tukevan hoitotyön suuntaan. Projektin tulostavoitteena oli opasvihko, joka tukee hoitajien yhtenäistä työtä. Viimeaikaisten tutkimusten mukaan ja tämän projektin johtopäätöksenä voidaan sanoa, että kuntoutumista tukeva hoitotyö kannattaa.

Title: Rehabilitation of hip fracture –restorative nursing care

This thesis was a project that was done in collaboration with Sauvosaari Hospital ward 2. Sauvosaari Hospital ward 2 needed to strengthen their rehabilitation of hip fracture patients. The project was designed to increase the awareness of the nursing staff about rehabilitation after hip fracture by using a guide booklet. The aim was also to shorten the episode of hospital care for hip fracture patients by enhancing the implementation of the restorative nursing care.

In this project we focused only on post traumatic hip fractures, surgical treatments, the most common complications, and weight bearing. From prostheses and other materials were introduced only those materials that are used in Länsi-Pohja healthcare district. In addition, the project dealt with hip fracture rehabilitation, restorative nursing care and multi-professional collaboration.

The aim for this project was to unify the restorative nursing care given by nurses in the rehabilitation of hip fracture patients. The other aim was to guide the nurses to support the self-initiative of the hip fracture patients in daily activities and movements with the help of the booklet. The practical objectives of the project were to fulfill an education for Sauvosaari Hospital ward 2 staff so that the increased knowledge and skills would change the direction of the practices in the ward towards restorative nursing care. The outcome of the project was a guide booklet, which supports the uniform work of the nurses. According to the recent research and as the conclusion of this project it can be said that restorative nursing care is beneficial.
