Hetki elämässä : nuorten kokemuksia Elämänhallintapalvelut Visio Oy:stä

Abstract

Opinnäytetyömme tarkoituksena on tuoda esiin nuorten kokemuksia Elämänhallintapalvelut Visio Oy:stä. Opinnäytetyömme kautta haluamme tuoda esille, miten nuoret ovat kokeneet Visio-työskentelyn ja millaisista työskentelymuodoista he ovat kokeneet hyötyneensä. Tavoitteenamme on myös tuoda kehittämisehdotuksia Vision työskentelyyn.

Teoreettisessa viitekehyksessä lähdemme liikkeelle itsenäistyvästä nuoresta ja aikuisen tuesta nuorelle. Kuvaamme myös nuoren arjen hallintaa itsenäistyvän nuoren roolikartan avulla. Keskeisimpiä käsitteitämme ovat Elämänhallintapalvelut Visio Oy, lastensuojelun avo- ja jälkihuolto. Tutkimusaineisto hankittiin teemahaastattelun keinoin marraskuun 2008 ja helmikuun 2009 välillä. Haastattelimme kolme Visio-työskentelyssä mukana ollutta nuorta. Opinnäytetyössämme käytettiin kvalitatiivista tutkimusmenetelmää ja analysointimenetelmänä teemoittelua.

Tutkimuksen keskeisiä tuloksia on, että nuorten kokemus Visio-työskentelystä oli myönteinen ja he kokivat sen tarpeelliseksi. Nuoret kokivat perheen ulkopuolisen aikuisen tuen hyvänä asiana. Nuoret kokivat tärkeäksi saada keskustella luottamuksella aikuisen kanssa, eikä yhdessä tekemisen tarvinnut olla kahvilla käymistä kummallisempaa. Tutkimuksen johtopäätöksenä voidaankin todeta, että tällaiselle työskentelymuodolle on tarvetta. Tutkimustulosten mukaan nuorten avohuoltoa tulisi kehittää vastaamaan entistä paremmin nuorten ja heidän perheidensä tarpeita.

The objective of our thesis was to bring out the experiences of young people from ”Elämänhallintapalvelut Visio Ltd”. With this thesis we wanted to find out how young people have experienced Vision –working and what kind of working has given them the best benefit. Another aim was to offer Vision some suggestions for developing their work.

In the theoretical framework we started with young people becoming independent and adults’ support of the young. We also pictured adolescents’ control of everyday life with the help of young person becoming independent role map. One of our key points is “Elämänhallintapalvelut Visio Ltd”, non-institutional care and aftercare of child welfare. The research material was collected with a theme interview held between November 2008 and February 2009. We interviewed three young people who participated in the Vision-project. We used qualitative research methodand thematic analysis.

The main results of this study are that the young experienced Vision-working positive and necessary. Supports from adult of outside family young people were experienced good thing. The young experienced important to discuss confidentially with adult and doing together doesn’t be something special, only going to have some coffee were working. It can be concluded that this kind of working method is needed. According to the test, results non-institutional social care of the young should be developed to meet the needs of young people and their families even better.
