Auton turvavarusteiden vaikutus liikennekäyttäytymiseen

Abstract

Tämän opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli tutkia suomalaisten ajotaitoja talviolosuhteissa. Halusin tutkia, miten satunnaisesti valitut koehenkilöt onnistuvat auton pysäyttämisessä ennen tielle tulevaa estettä.

Suunnittelin ajokokeissa käytettävän ajoradan sekä valitsin koeauton, joka mahdollisimman hyvin simu-loisi oikeaa tilannetta liikenteessä. Valmistelin kaksi kyselyä, ennen ajoa sekä ajon jälkeen täytettävän, jotka samalla toimivat koehenkilön itse arviointina. Kyselytuloksia ja ajokokeiden tuloksia vertaamalla sain selville, miten henkilöt todellisuudessa hallitsivat jarrutuksen, ABS-jarruilla sekä ilman. Sain työhöni tueksi Liikenneturvalta tilastoja vuodelta 2009, joista selvisi mm. kuolemaan johtaneiden onnettomuuksien mahdolliset syyt, olosuhteet sekä paikat.

Näiden faktojen tuella pystyin tekemään johtopäätöksen, että suurin osa liikenneturmista tapahtuu otolli-sissa ajo-olosuhteissa ilman ylinopeutta sekä autoilla, joissa on ABS-jarrut käytössä. Tästä voi tehdä joh-topäätöksen, että syy onnettomuuteen on suurimmassa osassa liian lyhyestä toiminta-ajasta eli ennakoin-nin puutteesta.

Näissä olosuhteissa ja näillä mahdollisuuksilla sain onnistuneita tuloksia, joista jokainen lukija voi tehdä omat johtopäätöksensä. Koehenkilöiden vastausten perusteella onnistuin opinnäytetyöni tavoitteessa ja pystyin vaikuttamaan suurimman osan ajattelutapaan, mitä tulee auton hallintaan talviolosuhteissa.

Due to my interests in the driving skills of the Finns, during winter, I wanted to research, how a randomly selected group of persons, can manage to stop the vehicle, before it hits the object, that comes surprisingly in front of the vehicle. I planned and chose, a suitable driving course and a test vehicle, that would most perfect, simulate a real traffic event. I made to inquiries, one that was filled before, and one that was filled after the driving test. By comparing the results from the inquiries and the driving tests, I could find out how the person actually, managed to complete the braking test, when ABS were on, and when it was off. I got statistics from Liikenneturva from the 2009, where could be found out, the reasons, circumstances and the places, where fatal accidents occured. Comparing my own results, to those from the given statistics, I could make the conclusion that most of the accidents occure, in good driving conditions, without any speeding and with vehicles with ABS and are caused by lack of anticipation. Within these circumstances, I got successful results, which from, every reader can make their own con-clusions. Based on the results, of the persons answers in the inquiries, I managed to influence, a group of persons, mindset when it comes to handling the vehicle in wintery driving conditions.
