Korjuujäljen tarkastukset ensiharvennuksissa Metsänhoitoyhdistys Länsimetsän alueella syksyllä 2010

Abstract

Tutkimuksessa tehtiin 2010 syksyn aikana korjuujäljen tarkastus Metsänhoitoyhdistys Länsimetsän alueelle. Tavoitteena oli tarkastaa pysyykö korjuujälki Tapion suositusten mukaisena. Tuloksia on verrattu keskenään Metsänhoitoyhdistys Länsimetsän tiimien välillä. Urakoitsijoita onnistumisia korjuujäljissä verrattiin myös keskenään. Tutkimus käsittää kaikkiaan 29 kuviota, joka on 56 hehtaaria. Nämä tarkastettiin Metsänhoitoyhdistyksen omilla korjuujälki ohjeilla. Tutkimuksessa selvitettiin runkoluku puulajeittain, valtapituus, keskiläpimitta, puustovauriot ja pohjapinta-ala. Lisäksi selvitettiin myös ajouraleveys, ajourapainaumat ja ajouravälit. Tutkimuksessa havaittiin runkovaurioita Tapion suosituksia enemmän. Ajourapainaumia ei havaittu juuri ollenkaan. Ajouravälit olivat keskiarvoltaan hyvällä tasolla. Ajouraleveydet olivat hyvällä tasolla keskiarvojen mukaan. Vain muutama kuvio oli harvennettu liian voimakkaasti, mutta näilläkin kuviolla vaikuttaa maasto runkolukuun. Muuten harvennukset täyttivät kaikki metsälain vaatimat vaatimukset. Runkovaurioiden määrä tulisi jatkossa saada pienemmäksi. Kuusikoiden harvennukset tulisi sijoittaa oikeaan ajankohtaan. Tällaiset korjuuteknisesti vaikeat kohteet tulee aina suunnitella hyvin, jotta korjuu saataisiin onnistuneesti toteutettua. Ajouraverkostoon tulisi kiinnittää jo suunnitteluvaiheessa huomiota. Mastoon tulisi ajouria tehtäessä kiinnittää huomiota ja sijoittaa ne kantavammille maastoille. Tulevaisuudessa tulisi korjuujälkeä seurata tarkemmin, jotta voitaisiin päästä paremmalle tasolle korjuujäljissä. Toivotulle tasolle pääseminen vaatisi entistä puunkorjuun muuttamista vielä huolellisemmalle tasolle.

The control of made harvesting trace was researched in the Forest Management Association Länsimetsä forests during the autumn of 2010. The aim was to ascertain if the harvesting trace is within the recommended limits set by Tapio. The results have been compared between different Länsimetsä teams and different contractors. The research was carried out in 29 compartments, which covered 56 hectares. The compartments were controlled with the harvesting trace guidelines set by the Forest Management Association. The measurement quantities were stem number by tree species, dominant height, mean diameter, stock damage, basal area, the width of the logging road, the dips in the logging road and the distance distance between the logging roads. In the research area there was more stem damage than Tapio’s recommendations allow. There were hardly any dips in the logging road. The distance between the logging roads and the width of the logging road was on average at a good level. Only a few of the compartments were thinned too intensively, but in these compartments the terrain affected the stem number. Other thinning was made according to the forest laws. The results showed that the number of stems damaged should be reduced. Spruce forests should be thinned at the right time. Also the technologically difficult harvesting targets should always be planned well, so that the harvesting is successful. The logging road network should also be planned carefully, the terrain should be considered and logging roads must be done on the harder ground. In the future harvesting trace should be controlled more often so that the results could be improved. To get a better level the harvesting should be done more carefully.
