Tiivistelmä
Tämän opinnäytetyön oli tarkoitus tutkia, onko kannattavaa tuottaa osa Savonlinnan keskussairaalassa käytettävästä jäähdytysenergiasta aurinkosähköjärjestelmän avulla. Tutkittavaa aurinkosähköjärjestelmää on tarjottu investoitavaksi Itä-Savon sairaanhoitopiirille.
IDA ICE-simulointia varten luotiin tarkka 3D-malli simuloitavasta sairaalakiinteistön osasta. Kun energiantuoton- ja kulutuksen kohtaamiset saatiin selvitettyä, pystyttiin selvittämään, onko kyseiseen aurinkosähköjärjestelmään investoiminen kannattavaa. Tämän lisäksi selvitettiin, olisiko tarjottua suuremman kokoluokan aurinkosähköjärjestelmä kannattava.
Energiasimulointien perusteella kyseiseen aurinkosähköjärjestelmään investoiminen olisi taloudellisesti kannattavaa. Tuntikohtaisten tarkastelujen avulla saatiin selvitettyä eri kokoisten aurinkosähköjärjestelmien omakulutusasteet sekä taloudellinen kannattavuus. Saatujen tulosten perusteella kannattaisi myös harkita investoimista suurempaan aurinkosähköjärjestelmään, mikäli ylijäämäenergia ohjattaisiin rakennuksen muuhun käyttöön. The aim of this thesis was to investigate if it is profitable to produce some of the cooling
energy consumed by the Savonlinna Central Hospital using a solar power system. The
investigated photovoltaic system (PV system) is offered for The East Savo Hospital District to invest in. This thesis concentrated on investigating power production and consumption, and their incidence.
The thesis looked into a PV system’s power production and a cooling energy’s consumption need, and their hourly matching. This clearance was made using energy simulation. Cooling energy’s hourly consumption rates were found out with the IDA ICE simulation tool and the PV system’s hourly energy production with the SAM simulation tool.
For IDA ICE simulation, exact 3D models were created, based on the simulated part of
the hospital. When energy production’s and consumption’s needs were found out, it was
possible to determine whether it is cost-effective to invest in that PV system. Additionally, it was studied if a larger than offered PV system would be profitable.
The results of the energy simulations indicate that it would be profitable to invest in this
PV system. The hourly inspections showcased the different sizes PV system’s own rate
of consumption and financial profitability. By gained results it is worth to consider investing in a larger PV system if the surplus energy was channeled to the building’s other usage.
