User Experiences Studies and the Designing of StepOut Mobile Application

Abstract

StepOut, an early stage startup based in Helsinki, designed and developed a platform for matching independent trainers hosting fitness sessions with customers who want to take activities in order to improve their health. The work behind this thesis was done by researches, based on business analyses, online articles, courses, blog posts and researches. Furthermore, part of the thesis was also based on the author’s personal knowledge as well as experiences in the previous work. The acquired research results were then utilized in the designing phase. The thesis concluded with the app planning and designing phases fully accomplished, with the implementation phase was at its finalizing stage. The StepOut live fitness platform was designed, developed, successfully deployed, and served over 80 sessions with hundreds of reservations placed.
