Web-sovellus projektienhallintaan

Abstract

Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli toteuttaa Robomec Oy:lle sovellus projektienhallintaan. Sovelluksen tiedot tuli sijoittaa palvelimelle, ja itse sovellusta oli voitava käyttää kaikilta yrityksen verkkoon liitetyiltä työasemilta.

Sovellus päädyttiin toteuttamaan selaimella käytettävänä tietokantapohjaisena web-sovelluksena. Käyttöön tarvittava tieto sijaitsi palvelimen tietokannassa, ja ulkoasu sekä toiminnot toteutettiin HTML:ää, PHP:tä, CSS:ää sekä JavaScriptiä käyttäen.

Kehitystyö tehtiin kotona ja sovellusta voitiin käyttää kotona sijaitsevalta palvelimelta koko työn ajan myös yrityksen työasemilta. Sovelluksen valmistuttua se asennettiin yrityksen palvelimelle, johon oli asennettu Debian GNU/Linux käyttöjärjestelmä, Apache web-palvelin, PHP sekä MySQL-relaatiotietokantaohjelmisto.

Projektienhallintasovellukseen saatiin toteutettua kaikki vaaditut toiminnot ja se asennettiin käyttöön yrityksen verkkoon. Tietokannan taulujen kenttiin sekä sovelluksen ulkoasuun jäi vielä kehitettävää, mutta ne jätettiin odottamaan mahdollista jatkokehitystä.

The objective of the thesis work was to produce an application for managing projects for Robomec Oy. The application data was to be installed on a server, and the application needed to be usable from every workstation in the firm’s local network.

It was decided that the application was to be realized as a database-based web application that was to be used with a browser. All the application data were to reside in the database and its look and functions were to be implemented using HTML, PHP, CSS and JavaScript.

The development work was done at home, and during the whole development process the application was accessible from the firm’s workstations. After the development, the application was installed on the firm’s server that had the Debian GNU/Linux operating system, Apache web server, PHP and MySQL relational database management system installed.

All the required functions were implemented in the project management application and it was set up for use in the firm’s local network. The fields in the database tables and the look of the application were still in need of some development, but they were left to wait for possible development in the future.
