Tiivistelmä
Kilpailu ihmisten vapaa-ajasta on kiristynyt viimeisten vuosien aikana.
Tutkimus toteutettiin haastattelututkimuksena, jossa haastateltiin kolmea asiakasryhmää.
The competition for people’s free time activities has tightened in the recent years. Sports Clubs are not immune to this growing competition. They must actively develop their operations and create new ways to find new customers while retaining their existing customer base.
This thesis was created for the Dance Sports Club Bolero. The purpose was to reveal the stages of their customers’ purchasing process and to find out the factors that affect it. The goal was to find the factors that make the customer come to Bolero and the reasons why the customer does not stay.
The study was conducted with interviews in which three different groups were interviewed. The groups were new customers, active customers and customers who had not stayed. All the interview groups had a common question section, and in addition to this, a specific section for active customers and to those who had not stayed.
The results of the survey showed that Dance Sports Club Bolero customers find the Sports Club through referrers. In addition to this, the reason for the customer not to stay was often due to personal issues, not issues in the Sports Club.
The main finding of the study is that the Sports Club should be more active in gathering feedback from its customers and thus gain more useful information to support the development of its operations.
