Abstract

TIIVISTELMÄ

Tämä opinnäytetyö toteutettiin produktiona ja tavoitteena oli tuottaa uusi ja selkeä tulotietolomake Sofian vastaanottokotiin. Lomake on tärkeä työväline uuden perheen haastattelussa, suullisen haastattelun tukena. Uuden lomakkeen tarkoituksena on koota tulotilanteessa tietoa lapsen ja perheen arjesta, jotta lasta pystytään tukemaan parhaalla mahdollisella tavalla. Lomake toteutettiin yhteistyössä Sofian vastaanottokodin henkilökunnan kanssa ja sisällön laatimisessa on käytetty apuna vastaanottokodissa aiemmin käytössä ollutta lomaketta. Uusia kysymyksiä lomakkeeseen suunniteltiin yhdessä työntekijöiden kanssa.

Opinnäytetyö koostuu produktiosta ja kirjallisesta raportista. Raportissa määritellään opinnäytetyön keskeisiä käsitteitä; lastensuojelua, sijaishuoltoa, lapsen kehitystä ja sen tukemista sekä vanhemman ja lapsen kiintymyssuhdetta ja sen merkitystä lapsen kehitykseen. Raportissa kuvaillaan myös produktion etenemistä ja esitellään Sofian vastaanottokoti.

Sofian vastaanottokodin työntekijät arvioivat uuden lomakkeen toimivaksi työvälineeksi ja se vastasi heidän odotuksiaan. Työntekijät kokivat kysymysten olevan tarpeeksi kattavia ja laajoja, kartoittamaan lapsen ja perheen arkea monipuolisesti.

Our thesis was a production with the aim to produce a new and easy-to-read admission form to be used at the children´s reception home “Sofia”. “Sofia” has a capacity for 30 children and is situated in Malmi, a north-eastern district of Helsinki, and maintained by the Department of Social Services of the City of Helsinki. The form was designed in partnership with staff at the children’s reception home. The admission form is an important tool for interviews with a new family. For the preparation of content in this form we used a previous one that had been in use at the reception home. In addition, together with the employees, we planned new questions.

The product, a form of 9 pages surveys extensively the child´s everyday functions prior to admission to the reception home. It aims at obtaining information on various areas such as eating habits, sleeping patterns, placements etc.

Our study consists of a production and a written report. In our study we did open the key concepts of child protection, foster care, child development and support as well as the attachment relationship between a parent and child and its importance on child development. In the report the production is described as a roadmap, giving an overview of the reception home for which the form has been created.
