Opetusvideo vastasyntyneen perushoidosta : Ihon hoito, vauvan käsittely ja kylvetys

Abstract

Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli tuottaa Centria-ammattikorkeakoululle opetusvideo vastasyntyneen perushoidosta ja kylvetyksestä. Video on suunnattu 3. vuoden sairaanhoitaja- ja terveydenhoitajaopiskelijoille opetuskäyttöön. Opinnäytetyössä käsiteltiin vastasyntyneen ihon hoitoa, vauvan käsittelyä ja kylvetystä. Videon tavoitteena oli antaa terveysalan opiskelijoille visuaalista materiaalia, kuinka vastasyntynyttä käsitellään ja kylvetetään.

Opetusvideo kuvattiin videolla näkyvän vauvan kotona hänen vanhempiensa kirjallisella luvalla ja läsnä ollessa. Video on lyhyt ja ytimekäs, ja siinä on sekä selostus että tekstitys maksimaalisen oppimisen tueksi. Videolla vastasyntynyt kylvetetään, kuivataan, hänen napansa puhdistetaan ja lopuksi hänet puetaan vaippaan ja vaatteisiin. Teoriaosuuteen koottiin perustietoa vastasyntyneen kehityksestä, perushoidosta, ihosta sekä audiovisuaalisen opetusmuodon hyödyistä. Lisäksi opinnäytetyössä pohdittiin luotettavuutta ja eettisyyttä sekä tuotekehittelyprojektin kulkua. Tietoperustassa on avattu myös yleissairaanhoitajan osaamisvaatimuksia. Opinnäytetyön tuotoksena syntyi selkeä ja halutunlainen opetusvideo. Opetusvideota voidaan jatkossa hyödyntää opetustilanteissa harjoiteltaessa vastasyntyneen perushoitoa. Palaute opetusvideosta kerättiin viimeisen vuoden sairaanhoitajaopiskelijoilta nimettömänä.

The purpose of this project was to produce an educational video aboutthe handling andbathing ofa newbornfor Centria University of Applied Sciences. The video is aimed forthirdyear nursing and health care students for educational use. The project was about the skincare, the handling and the bathing of newborns. The objective of the video is to give students of health care visual material of how to care for newborns.

The instructional video was filmed at the home of the baby shown in the video with the written permission and presence of the parents. The video is short and succinct, with both narration and subtitles supplied for the support of maximized learning. In the video, the newborn is bathed, dried, its navel cleaned, and finally it is wrapped in a diaper and dressed. The theoretical part includes basic information about newborn development, basic care, skin care and the benefits of audiovisual teaching. In addition, the video considers reliability and ethics, as well as the process of the product development project. The knowledge base of the study also dealt with the skill requirements of the registered nurse. The resulting product of the thesis is a clear and wished-for teaching video. In the future, this instructional video can be utilized in teaching situations when practicing basic newborn care. Feedback on the instructional video was collected anonymously from last year’s nursing students, so it adds the reliability of the thesis.
