The focus of this thesis is to analyse knowledge sharing practices between Finnish software-companies. This study provides valuable updated infor-mation about the current situation in such companies, their related problems, common recommendations and future suggestions. In more general, this study contributes in narrowing the knowledge gap in knowledge creation and shar-ing practices.
Theoretical part of this thesis introduces theory of knowledge creation and sharing. The new empirical dаta wаs collected through online interviews. By understanding current situation, related problems, common solutions and best practices, it is possible to create practical development advices. Previous em-pirical research has been included in this study.
Based on the main findings of this study, it can be stated that communication and collaboration skills have great influence on organizational learning pro-cess even in highly digitalized working environment. An ability to search and manage information individually provides additional benefits for knowledge creation practices.
