Enemmän rohkeutta, Zero pelkoa : Miten luodaan turvallinen ryhmä käytännössä?

Abstract

Kivilahti, Mika; Kujala, Tuukka & Mäkelä Antti. Enemmän rohkeutta, zero pelkoa. Miten luodaan turvallinen ryhmä käytännössä. Pieksämäki kevät 2012 Diakonia-ammattikorkeakoulu, Diak itä Pieksämäki, Sosiaalialan koulutusohjelma, sosionomi (AMK) + kirkon nuorisotyöntekijän kelpoisuus.

Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli toteuttaa keväällä 2011 ryhmäytyspäivä Keuruun tuleville seitsemäsluokkalaisille. Päivä toteutettiin yhteistyössä Keuruun seurakunnan, kaupungin ja paikallisen 4H-yhdistyksen kanssa. Opinnäytetyössä keskityttiin ennen kaikkea myös siihen, miten tukioppilaiden rooli otetaan parhaalla mahdollisella tavalla huomioon päivässä. Tämän takia ennen ryhmäytyspäivää pidettiin kaksi perehdytyskertaa Keuruun ylä-asteen tukioppilaille.

Ala-asteelta siirtyminen ylä-asteelle on varhaisnuorelle suuri muutos elämässä. Kyseistä siirtymää on tuettava, jotta nuoren henkinen kasvu kehittyisi normaalilla tapaa, ja jokainen kokisi uuden ryhmän turvalliseksi. Ihminen, joka saa kasvaa turvallisessa ryhmässä, oppii selviytymään paremmin tulevissa elämän eri tilanteissa. Ryhmäytyspäivä ryhmäyttää nuoria mm. toiminnallisten rastien avulla. Rastien avulla pyrittiin luomaan vahva luottamusside ja tukirengas omaan luokkaan. Ryhmäytyspäivällä pyrittiin ennaltaehkäisemään koulukiusaamista ja syrjintää. Ryhmäytyspäivä on tärkeä seurakunnan näkökulmasta, koska useimmat seurakunnat eivät järjestä mitään muuta toimintaa seitsemäsluokkalaisille.

Opinnäytetyössä puretaan kummatkin perehdytyspäivät sekä itse ryhmäytyspäivä. Myös kerätyt palautteet käydään läpi ja analysoidaan. Päivän tapahtumat käydään läpi Ryhmäytyspäivä aamusta iltaan osiossa. Opinnäytetyön lopuksi pohditaan miten tavoitteisiin on päästy. Tukioppilaiden perehdytys ei onnistunut suunnitellulla tavalla, mutta itse ryhmäytyspäivä oli onnistunut. Tukioppilaat pitivät päivästä ja roolistaan, vaikka perehdytys jäi monen tukioppilaan kohdalta vaillinaiseksi. ABSTRACT

The primary objective for this thesis work was to carry through a grouping day for the future 7th graders in Keuruu in the spring of 2011. The day was carried out together with the congregation and the city of Keuruu and the local 4H-organisation. This thesis work is also concentrated particularly on what is the best way to foresee the role of the tutors during the day. This was the reason to arrange two introduction classes for the tutors of Keuruu middle school.

Changing from elementary school to middle school is a big change to an adolescent. This transition must be supported so the mental and intellectual growth would develop in a normal way and everyone could feel safe in the new group. A person who is able to grow in a safe group will learn how to survive better in various situations in life. Among other things the grouping day is grouping the youth with (waypoints) that contain dif-ferent activities. These (waypoints) are helping to create a strong connection and bond to each class. The grouping day is used to prevent bullying and discrimination. The day is also important from the congregations’ point of view because most of the congrega-tions do not arrange any other activity for the 7th graders.

The thesis work takes apart both of the introduction days and the grouping day itself. Also the feedback that was collected will be run through and analyzed. The events of the day will be looked through in the “Ryhmäytyspäivä aamusta iltaan” section. In the end we ponder on how we achieved our goals. The introduction did not succeed as it was planned but the grouping itself was a success. The tutors liked the day and their role although the introduction was insufficient for some of the tutors.
