Seurakunnan työntekijä suojelee lasta : Lastensuojelutietoisuuden kehittämishanke Korson seurakunnassa

Abstract

Laapio, Ida-Maija & Sinervä, Suvi. Seurakunnan työntekijä suojelee lasta – las-tensuojelutietoisuuden kehittämishanke Korson seurakunnassa. Järvenpää, kevät 2012, 65 s., 4 liitettä. Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli kehittää Korson seurakunnan työntekijöiden las-tensuojelutietoutta. Kehityshanke toteutettiin Korson seurakunnan työntekijöi-den kanssa työstämällä yhteistyössä lastensuojeluinfomateriaali. Tavoitteena oli myös selvittää voiko materiaalin avulla yhtenäistää seurakunnan työntekijöiden linjaa lastensuojelullisissa asioissa. Tutkimuksen aineisto kerättiin laadullisen tutkimuksen keinoilla. Aineiston ke-ruun menetelminä opinnäytetyössä käytettiin teemahaastattelua, pienimuotoista kyselyä, havainnointipäiväkirjaa ja kirjallista palautetta. Aineisto kerättiin ke-väästä syksyyn vuonna 2011. Aineistoa keräsi eri menetelmiä käyttäen kaksi tutkijaa. Aineisto osoitti työntekijöiden tietopohjien olevan eritasoisia. Kaikki työntekijät olivat halukkaita yhtenäistämään linjaa lastensuojelusta. Tutkimuksesta saatiin monenlaista palautetta ja työntekijät huomioivat eri osa-alueita materiaalista. Tutkimuksesta selvisi, että seurakunnassa oli selkeä tarve kyseiselle materiaa-lille ja sillä pystyttiin parantamaan lastensuojelutietoutta. Materiaalin avulla pys-tyttiin yhtenäistämään seurakunnan työntekijöiden eritasoisia tietopohjia ja suu-rin osa heistä oppi jotain uutta lastensuojelusta. Opinnäytetyön valmistuttua infomateriaalin kehitystä jatketaan saatujen palaut-teiden pohjalta. Materiaali tulee Korson seurakunnan käyttöön kevään 2012 aikana. Materiaali hyväksytetään seurakuntaneuvostolla.

The aim of the study was to improve the child protection knowledge of the em-ployees of the Korso parish. The improvement project was partly executed as an information folder about child protection which was made in co-operation with the workers. In addition, the purpose of the study was to examine if the employees’ way of working in child welfare can be unified by way of an informa-tion folder. Data for this study were collected with methods of a qualitative approach. Theme interviews, a questionnaire, an observation journal and literary feedback were used as research methods in the study. The research material was col-lected from spring to fall in the year of 2011. The material was compiled by two researchers with different methods. The research material showed that the parish employees’ basic knowledge about child welfare were at different levels. All workers were willing to unify their working methods in child protection situations. Different kind of feedback was given during the research and the employees emphasized different parts of the information folder. The study indicates that there is an explicit need for an information folder and it enables improvement in child welfare knowledge. The information folder fur-thermore enables unification in the different levels of basic knowledge and the majority of the workers learned something new about child welfare. After completing this study the development with the folder will continue and it will be improved based on the feedback. The child protection information folder will be put to use in the work community during the spring of 2012 and it will get an approval from the parish council.
