GPS/GPRS- laitteiston konfigurointi ja käyttöönotto

Abstract

Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli konfiguroida GPS/GPRS-laitteisto, jonka tehtävänä on seurata etäaseman sijaintia ja jakaa sijaintitietoa internetin välityksellä. Laitteistosta oli tehty aikaisemminkin opinnäytetyö, mutta aikaisemmassa työssä laitteistoa ei saatu toimimaan täysin odotetulla tavalla.

Laitteisto käsittää etäaseman ja keskusaseman. Etäasema sisältää ohjelmoitavan logiikan lisäksi tarvittavat komponentit GPS-paikannusta sekä paikannustiedon edelleen lähetystä varten. Keskusasemalla käytetään tarvittavia ohjelmistoja paikkannustiedon vastaanottamista ja edelleen internetiin jakamista varten. Laitteisto oli valmiiksi kokoonpantu ja teorissa työ vaati vain laitteistojen sekä ohjelmistojen konfiguroinnin. Teoria osuudessa käsitellään GPS-paikannusta sekä GPRS-tiedonsiirtoa.

Työn edetessä kohdattiin ongelmia ohjelmistojen yhteensopivuudessa sekä paikannustiedon jakamisessa internetiin. Ongelmat saatiin selvitettyä ja laitteisto saatiin toimimaan odotetulla tavalla. Etäasema lähetti paikkatiedon keskusasemalle, joka jakoi paikkatiedon edelleen internetiin.

Purpose of this thesis was to configure GPS/GPRS – hardware. The system is designed to monitor the remote station's position and to share location infor-mation via the internet. One thesis had been made before this thesis with the same hardware, but in the earlier thesis system did not operate entirely as expected.

The system includes a remote station and a central station. Remote station includes programmable logic in addition to the necessary components for GPS positioning and sending the tracking information to the central station. Central station has all the software needed for receiving and sharing the tracking information. The equipment was already installed and the thesis was to configure systems hardware and software.

As thesis progressed, problems were encountered with the software compatibility as well as with sharing the positioning information to the internet. The problems were solved and the system worked as expected.
