TIIVISTELMÄ

Tämän opinnäytetyön tavoitteena on kehittää hemodialyysipotilaan ohjausta. Opinnäy-tetyön tarkoituksena oli tuottaa hemodialyysissä käyville potilaille itsehoidon opas Raa-hen Hyvinvointikuntayhtymän dialyysiosastolle. Opas motivoi ja kannustaa potilasta välttämättömään, hemodialyysiä tukevaan itsehoitoon. Potilaan ja hänen perheensä hy-vinvointi ja tukeminen ohjauksen keinoin ovat keskeisiä asioita potilaan sitoutumisessa hoitoon. Opinnäytetyö tehtiin yhteistyössä dialyysiosaston henkilökunnan kanssa. Opinnäytetyö on tehty tuotteistamisprosessia noudattaen.

Oppaan sisältö ja rakenne määriteltiin kartoittamalla hemodialyysissä käyvien potilaiden tiedon tarpeet. Kartoitusta apuna käyttäen analysoitiin hemodialyysipotilaisiin ja heidän ohjaukseensa liittyviä tutkimuksia ja tieteellisiä artikkeleita. Näin saatu tieto koottiin oppaan sisällöksi. Opasta tullaan käyttämään potilaiden ohjauksen tukena ja materiaalina Raahen Hyvinvointikuntayhtymän dialyysiosastolla.

Jatkossa kehittämishaasteena on kartoittaa omaisten kokemuksia ja tiedon tarvetta vai-heessa, jolloin läheisen munuaisten vajaatoiminnan hoito on edennyt hemodialyysivai-heeseen.

ABSTRACT

The aim of this final thesis was to improve the guidance of a patient in hemodialysis. The purpose was to derive a self-care guide for patients who need hemodialysis. This final project is going to dialysis unit in Joint Municipal Authority of Wellbeing in Raahe District (Finland). This guide is supposed to motivate and encourage the patient to take care of themselves, as it is necessary in the patient´s life when hemodialysis starts. Self-care supports hemodialysis treatment. The welfare and support of patients and their family using empowering education was the key issue to commit oneself to the treat-ment. This project was made in close cooperation with the personnel in the dialysis unit and it was made by using a productization process.

The content and structure was defined by mapping the need of knowledge. By using that knowledge studies and research articles were analysed. These studies and articles were based on patients in hemodialysis and their guidance. The knowledge and material that was collected this way was used in the guide. This guide is going to be used to support the patient´s guidance and as learning material in Joint Municipal Authority of Wellbeing in Raahe District`s dialysis unit.

In the future it could be interesting to advance the knowledge about relatives and about their experiences and need for information when their near relative has renal failure which requires hemodialysis.
