Linnavuoren palvelukeskuksen esitemateriaaliprojekti

Abstract

Tämän projektiluontoisen opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli tehdä ajantasaiset esitteet Linnavuoren palvelukeskukseen, joka on Raumalla sijaitseva perusterveydenhuollon palvelukoti vanhuksille. Esitteiden on tarkoitus antaa selkeästi oleellista tietoa palvelukeskuksen toiminnasta. Ne suunnattiin jaettavaksi kaikille Linnavuoren palvelukeskukseen kaukaa ja läheltä hoitoon tuleville asukkaille ja heidän läheisilleen. Esitteisiin koottiin tietoa palvelukeskuksessa asumisesta, hoidoista ja palveluista. Lisäksi esitteisiin laitettiin palvelukeskuksen yhteystiedot.

Opinnäytetyön teoriaosuudessa tarkasteltiin terveydenhuollon viestintää tiedon välittäjänä, esitteen ja kirjallisen materiaalin teossa huomioitavia asioita sekä vanhuspalveluja Suomessa ja Raumalla. Esitteen suunnittelussa ja tekovaiheessa sain useasti palautetta ja neuvoja Rauman vanhustyön palvelupäälliköltä sekä Linnavuoren palvelukeskuksen esimiehiltä.

Esitemateriaalin sisältöä kartoitettiin omaisille suunnatulla kyselyllä. Kyselyyn vastasi 14 omaista (N=14). Kyselystä esille nousivat omaisten toivomukset saada lisää tietoa muun muassa palvelukeskuksen arkirutiineista, yleisistä käytännöistä ja lääkärin kierroista.

Koska Linnavuoren palvelukeskuksen tehostetun palveluasumisen yksiköiden ja hoito-osaston käytännön toimintaperiaatteet poikkeavat toisistaan, tehtiin palvelukodeille ja hoito-osastolle omat sisällöltään hieman poikkeavat esitelehtiset. Esitteiden tavoitteena on olla kattavat, selkeät, helposti luettavat ja ymmärrettävät. Ne sisältävät esittelyä eri osastoista, niiden toimintatavoista ja hoitoperiaatteista. Esitevihkosten tavoitteena on myös pyrkiä lisäämään asukkaiden ja heidän läheistensä tietämystä, turvallisuuden tunnetta ja luottamusta hoitohenkilökuntaa sekä palvelukeskuksen toimintaa kohtaan.

The purpose of this thesis was to make up-to-date brochures for Linnavuori Service Centre. Centre is a primary health care Service Centre for the elderly. The purpose of these brochures is to give relevant information about the activities in the Centre. The target groups were the future residents and their relatives in Linnavuori Service Centre. The content of the brochures consisted of living in the Centre, treatment and other services. The contact information of the Centre was also added.

The theory section of the thesis consisted of the health care’s communication as a messenger, the key points of making the brochure and literate material and health care services for the elderly both in Rauma and generally in Finland. During the process of preparing the brochures, a lot of feedback and advice was obtained from the service manager in geriatric services in Rauma and the supervisors of Linnavuori Service Centre.

The content of the brochures are based on a questionnaire targeted to the relatives of the current residents. Fourteen relatives answered the questionnaire (N=14). The questionnaire’s key results were the relatives' wishes to get more information including daily routines, general practices and doctor’s rounds in the Service Centre.

Due to the different working principals in intensive service care unit and care unit, two different brochures were made, one for each unit. The objective of the brochures is to be conclusive, clear, easy-to-read and comprehensive containing information about different units, their working ethics and principals. The objective of the brochures is also to increase the current residents’ and their relatives’ knowledge of, feeling of security and trust towards the nursing staff and the activities in the Centre.
