Syöpäpotilaan kivunhoito saattohoitovaiheessa

Abstract

Opinnäytetyöni käsittelee saattohoidossa olevan syöpäpotilaan kivunhoitoa. Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli selvittää millaisia lääkehoitoja on syöpäkivusta kärsiville saattohoitopotilaille ja mitä muita hoitotyön auttamiskeinoja syöpäkivunhoitoon saattohoidossa käytetään.

Opinnäytetyö toteutettiin systemaattisena kirjallisuuskatsauksena ja siihen valikoitui 4 tutkimusta. Työn teoreettisessa viitekehyksessä käsitellään syöpäpotilaan hoitotyötä yleisesti, syöpäkipua ja syöpäkivunhoidossa käytettäviä lääkkeitä.

Tutkimusten keskeisimpien tulosten mukaan syöpäkivunhoitoon käytetään yleisimmin kipu-lääkkeitä. Muitakin menetelmiä on, kuten rentoutus ja musiikinkuuntelu, mutta saattohoidossa tärkeintä on kivun poistaminen ja potilaan olon helpottaminen ilman liiallisia potilasta rasittavia tekijöitä.

The pain management of a cancer patient at terminal care

I chose the pain management of a cancer patient at terminal care as the theme of my Bachelor’s thesis. I was looking for answers as to what medical treatment there is for cancer pain for terminal patients and what other methods of help are used to cancer pain at terminal care.

The thesis was realized as a systematic literature survey and four (4) studies were selected. In the theoretical frame of reference I have researched the treatment of cancer patients in general, cancer pain and medication used in cancer pain.

According to the most central outcomes of research, pain medication is the most used to cancer pain. There are, however, other methods like relaxing and listening to music, e. g., but in terminal care, the most important thing is removing the pain and making the patient feel better without stressing factors.
