Saattohoito-opas tehostetun palveluasumisen hoitohenkilökunnalle

Abstract

Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on tuottaa saattohoito-opas tehostetun palveluasumisen hoitohenkilökunnalle. Oppaan on tarkoitus olla hoitohenkilökunnan tukena hoitotyössä ja opastaa saattohoitotilanteessa. Oppaassa on tarkoitus tuoda esille eri käsitteitä, käytäntöjä ja hoitovaiheita ikääntyneiden elämän loppuvaiheen hoidossa. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena on yhtenäistää ja selkeyttää saattohoitokäytänteitä Vaasan tehostetun palveluasumisen yksiköissä. Oppaan tavoitteena on opastaa ja auttaa hoitohenkilökuntaa antamaan hyvää saattohoitoa terminaalihoidossa oleville asukkaille. Tutkimusaineisto kerättiin haastattelemalla tehostetun palveluasumisen hoitohenkilökuntaa maaliskuussa 2020. Haastattelu suoritettiin teemahaastatteluna aiemmin kerätyn aineiston pohjalta. Laadullinen tutkimusaineisto analysoitiin käyttämällä deduktiivista sisällönanalyysia. Tämän opinnäytetyön perusteella voidaan todeta, että opas tulee tarpeeseen. Se tulee olemaan hoitohenkilökunnan tukena hoitotyössä ja opastaa heitä saattohoitotilanteissa.

The purpose of the study is to produce a care guide for the nursing staff of enhanced service housing. The purpose of the guide is to support the nursing staff in nursing work and to provide guidance in a nursing home situation. The guide is intended to highlight the different concepts, practices and stages of care in the end-of-life care of older people. The aim of the study is to unify and clarify palliative care practices in Vaasa`s enhanced service housing units. The aim of the guide is to help guide and help the nursing staff to provide good care for residents in hospice care. Functional research material was collected by interviewing the nursing staff of enhanced service housing in March 2020. The interview was conducted as a thematic interview on the basis of the collected material. The research material was analyzed using deductive content analysis. Based on this thesis, it can be stated that the guide will be needed and will support the nursing staff in nursing work and guide them in palliative care situations.
