”Kasvaminen monikkovanhemmaksi” : Monikkoperheiden perhevalmennus

Abstract

Monikkoperheillä tarkoitetaan tässä opinnäytetyössä perheitä, jotka ovat saaneet kaksoset tai kolmoset. Monikkoperheiden perhevalmennuksella tarkoitetaan per-hevalmennusta, jota monikkoperheet saavat. Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli selvittää kyselyn avulla, millaista perhevalmennusta monikkoperheet saivat, ja miten perhevalmennusta tulisi kehittää. Tavoitteena oli monikkoperheiden perhevalmennuksen kehittäminen.

Monikkoperhevalmennuksesta tulisi tiedottaa vanhemmille enemmän neuvolassa. Monikkoperhevalmennusta voisi järjestää muutaman kerran kaikille monikkovanhemmille. Niille, jotka tuntisivat vielä tarvitsevansa tietoa, saisivat vielä muutaman ylimääräisen perhevalmennuskerran. Monikkoperhevalmennusta voisi järjestää vaihdellen eri tapoja; välillä puhuttaisiin yleisesti, välillä jaettaisiin vanhemmat pieniin ryhmiin ja välillä ammattilainen puhuisi.

Valmennuksessa tulisi puhua enemmän synnytyksestä, imetyksestä ja muista arkeen liittyvistä asioista. Synnytyskivun hallinta ja hoito kiinnostaisi myös vastaajia, joten siitä voisi ammattilainen kertoa enemmän. Synnytysteeman voisi perhevalmennuksessa käydä läpi kätilö, sillä heillä on asiaan liittyvää tietoa.

Muut monikkovanhemmat, joiden lapset ovat jo isompia, voisivat puhua imetyksen aloittamisesta, imetysasennoista, tiheydestä ja kestosta sekä siitä, miten isä voisi tukea imetystä.

Monikkovanhemmat tarvitsisivat erilaisia tukimuotoja, kuten tilapäistä lastenhoi-toapua sekä kodinhoitoapua, joten terveydenhoitaja voisi antaa tietoa niistä perhevalmennuksessa. Terveydenhoitaja voisi kertoa myös tarpeellisista tarvikehankinnoista. Sosiaalityöntekijä voisi kertoa etuuksista sekä kunnasta tai kaupungilta saatavasta avusta monikkoperheiden vanhemmille. Vertaistuen järjestäminen on edullinen ja vaikuttava keino auttaa vanhempia heidän kasvatustehtävässään, joten siitä voisi kertoa perhevalmennuksessa.

By multiple families, in this dissertation, it is meant those families who have twins or triplets. Guidance of multiple parents means the guidance that multiple families get. The purpose of this thesis was to clarify, with the help of inquiry, the kind of training received by multiple families and how to further develop the training. The aim is to develop the family training of multiple families.

The parents should be informed of the multiple family training in the child welfare clinic more. The multiple family training could be arranged for all the multiple par-ents a few times. To the ones who need more information there would be a few extra multiple family meetings. Most participants suggested that family training should be arranged either through general discussion or by dividing the group into smaller groups.

In the family training one should talk about the birth, breast feeding and other matters which are related to the everyday life. Interviewees would also be interested in the control and care of the labour pain so the professional could talk about it more. The midwife could go through the birth theme in the family training because they have information which is related to the matter.

Other multiple parents whose children are already bigger could talk about how the father could support the breast feeding since the beginning of the breast feeding, the breast feeding positions, density and duration of and between meals.

Multiple parents would need different support forms such as temporary child care and home help so the public health nurse could give information about them in the family training. The public health nurse could talk also about the necessary utensil acquisitions. The benefits and help which is obtained from the municipality or from the town are matters the social worker could inform the parents of multiple families about. Peer support is an advantageous and impressive method to help parents in their educational task so information on it could be provided, for example in the family training.
