Tilaus-toimitusprosessin tehostaminen : Case: Etra & Sandvik

Abstract

Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena on tutkia tilaus-toimitusprosessia. Työssä keskitytään tilaus-toimitusprosessin osa-alueista hankintoihin, hyllytykseen sekä varastointiin. Opinnäytetyössä tutkitaan Etran Sandvikille tarjoamaa hyllytyspalvelua, joka suoritetaan Sandvikin toimitiloissa.

Työssä kartoitetaan tilaus-toimitusprosessin nykytila ja mahdolliset ongelmakohdat. Ongelmia löytyi lähinnä hyllytysprosessista, ajankäytöstä sekä tilojen hyödyntämisestä. Tilanpuute ja ahtaus ovatkin yksi toiminnan kehittämisen lähtökohta. Nykytilan kartoitus tehtiin haastatteluiden sekä osallistuvan havainnoinnin avulla. Lopuksi työssä esitellään kehitysideat sekä johtopäätökset.

Opinnäytetyön teoriaosuudessa käsitellään yleisesti tilaus- ja toimitusketjua sekä esitellään hankintojen tehostamisen työkaluja. Varastointiosuudessa käsitellään varastoinnin merkitystä ja tarvetta tilaus- ja toimitusketjussa sekä varastoinnin tehostamisen työkaluja ja menetelmiä. Varastointiosuudessa esitellään myös jo nyt käytössä olevia hyllytysmenetelmiä.

Tilaus- ja toimitusketjun kehittäminen on yrityksissä erittäin tärkeää kilpailukyvyn kannalta. Tilaus- ja toimitusketjun tehostamisella yritykset voivat saada kilpailuetua sekä kustannussäästöjä muihin yrityksiin nähden. Tilaus- ja toimitusketjua tulisikin kehittää kokonaisvaltaisesti koko toimitusketjun matkalta, eikä ainoastaan yhden yrityksen näkökulmasta.

Kun tilaus- ja toimitusketjua kehitetään kokonaisuutena, työnjako monesti muuttuu ketjun yritysten välillä. Joitakin toimenpiteitä voidaan aikaistaa ja toiset toiminnot taas siirtyvät ketjun loppupäähän.

The purpose of this Bachelor´s thesis is to examine the order and delivery process. The focus of this study is on the order and delivery process areas in procurements, shelving and stocking. This thesis examines Etra´s offered shelving service to Sandvik and the work is done in the Sandvik premises.

This study examines the current status and potential problem areas in the current order delivery process of the case company. Problems were found mainly in the shelving process, the time used as well as the exploitation of the premises. Lack of space is one of the main areas that need to be developed. Interviews and observations were used to survey the present situation in the case company. Finally, this thesis presents ideas for development as well as conclusions.

In the theory section of the thesis the order and supply chain are generally examined and tools which help make procurement more efficient are introduced. The section on storage examines the need of storage in the order and supply chain and introduces tools and methods for efficient storage. Furthermore, methods of shelving are also introduced in the thesis section of storage.

The development of an order/delivery process is very important because of the competitiveness of the company. Rationalization of an order and delivery process can give a competitive edge to a company as well as cost savings in comparison to other companies. Thus, a supply chain must be comprehensively developed from the beginning of the supply chain to the end, and not only from one company´s perspective.

In developing the complete supply chain, the distribution of work between the companies in the supply chain, tend to change. Some tasks can be carried out earlier than before and yet other tasks can be carried out at the end of the supply chain.
