"Osaatko sä puhua niin kuin hiiri?" : draama ja teatteri dysfasia-lasten opetuksessa

Abstract

Tämä toiminnallinen opinnäytetyö käsittelee draamaa ja teatteria sellaisten lasten opetuksessa, joilla on kielellisiä erityisvaikeuksia eli eritasoisia dysfaattisia piirteitä. Työ esittelee Ninnin matkassa! -prosessidraaman suunnittelu- ja toteutusprosessin. Draamakokonaisuus toteutui syksyllä 2012 osana Espoon kaupungin sivistystoimen tehostetun ja erityisen tuen hanketta.

Työssä avataan draamakasvatuksen ja prosessidraaman keskeisiä käsitteitä ja peilataan niitä käytännön työhön. Opinnäyte havainnollistaa prosessidraamakokonaisuuden suunnittelua, ohjaamista ja reflektointia sekä valaisee työparityöskentelyn vaikutusta lopputulokseen.

Käytännönläheisyys ja draamatoiminnan reflektointi muodostavat työn keskiön. Työssä esitellään dysfasia-lapsille sopivia opetusmenetelmiä ja tutkitaan, kuinka hyvin draama ja teatteri soveltuvat sellaiseen opetukseen, jota ei voi perustaa kielelliseen ilmaisuun. Opinnäyte osoittaa esimerkkejä siitä, kuinka draaman ja teatterin keinoin voidaan paitsi vahvistaa fyysistä ja sanatonta ilmaisua myös edistää kielellisiä valmiuksia.

Opinnäyte raportoi ja dokumentoi teatteri-ilmaisun ohjaajalle ominaista draamaohjaajan työtä. Opinnäytteeseen on liitetty työskentelyn tuote, prosessidraamakokonaisuuden käsikirjoitus, jota opettajat ja draamaohjaajat voivat soveltaa erilaisiin tarkoituksiin sopivaksi.

The present thesis examines drama and theater in education with respect to children with special needs in linguistic skills such as features of dysphasia of a different level. The thesis presents a new process drama called On Voyage with Ninni!, which was organized in autumn 2012 as a part of a project conducted with Education and Cultural Services of the City of Espoo.

This thesis introduces the essential concepts of drama education and process drama and reflects theory into practice. It demonstrates how to plan, instruct and reflect a complete process drama. It also illustrates how working together with another instructor influences the result.

A down-to-earth approach and reflection of the drama work form the core of this thesis. The study presents educational methods suitable for dysphasic children. It examines how drama and theater function when there is no possibility to build the drama situation on language. The thesis points out examples of how to strengthen both physical and non-verbal self-expression as well as linguistic abilities through drama and theatre.

The thesis reports and documents the typical duties for a drama instructor. The appendix of this thesis is the product of the drama work in question. This manuscript of a process drama can be used as a tool according to the needs of teachers and drama instructors.
