Terveysasemien itsehoitopalvelupisteiden nykytilan selvitys ja kehittämisehdotus

Abstract

Tämä opinnäytetyö liittyi Laurea-ammattikorkeakoulun Pumppu-hankkeen osahankkeeseen, jonka tarkoitus on löytää keinoja hyvinvointipolulta etenemiseen Länsi-Uudellamaalla. Pumppu-hanke on ylimaakunnallinen EAKR-rahoitteinen teemahanke vuosille 2012–2014 ja sen tavoitteena on hyvinvointipalvelujen kehittäminen eri alueilla Suomessa. Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli itsehoitopalvelupisteiden kehittäminen Perusturvakuntayhtymä Karviaisen alueella. Tarkoituksena oli selvittää itsehoitopalvelupisteiden nykytilanne ja kehittämistarpeet henkilökunnan näkökannalta. Itsehoitopalvelupisteiden kehittäminen on osa Perusturvakuntayhtymä Karviaisen Metabolinen oireyhtymä-projektia, jonka tavoitteena on löytää sairastumisriskissä olevat ennen sairastumista.

Itsehoitopalvelupisteiden kehittämisen menetelmänä käytettiin juurruttamisen menetelmää, jossa tavoitteena on hiljaisen tiedon esille tuominen ja uuden toimintamallin juurruttaminen työyhteisöön erilaisten oppimisprosessien avulla. Nykytilanteen selvittämiseksi käytettiin laadullista tutkimusmenetelmää ja laadittiin kyselylomake, joka toimitettiin kahdelle haastateltavalle. Toiseen vastaukset saatiin haastattelemalla ja toiseen sähköpostitse avoimen kysymyslomakkeen kautta. Haastattelun ja kyselyn vastaukset litteroitiin ja luokiteltiin sisällönanalyysin menetelmällä, jonka pohjalta muodostettiin nykytilan kuvaus. Tämän jälkeen kuvaus toimitettiin Perusturvakuntayhtymä Karviaisen muulle henkilöstölle kommentoitavaksi ja hiljaisen tiedon saamiseksi esille.

Teoreettista ja tutkittua tietoa sekä haastattelun ja kyselyn tuloksia vertailemalla ja muun henkilöstön tuoman näkemyksen pohjalta saatiin selvitettyä itsehoitopalvelupisteiden nykytila ja kehittämistarpeet. Niiden perusteella laadittiin itsehoitopalvelupisteiden kehittämisehdotus Perusturvakuntayhtymä Karviaisen alueen terveysasemille. Kehittämisehdotuksessa kiinnitettiin erityisesti huomiota itsehoitopalvelupisteen sijaintiin, siitä mainostamiseen ja tiedottamiseen.

Tulevaisuudessa tämän työn tuotosta voitaisiin hyödyntää itsehoitopalvelupisteiden toiminnan kehittämisessä käytännön tasolla eteenpäin, joka tullaan toteuttamaan Laurea-ammattikorkeakoulun sairaanhoitajaopiskelijoiden ja Perusturvakuntayhtymä Karviaisen yh-teistyönä. Kehitettävän toiminnan arvioimiseksi laadittiin arviointikyselylomake itsehoitopal-velupisteiden käyttäjille, jota kehittämistoiminnan toteuttajat voivat hyödyntää. Kyselyn tar-koituksena on selvittää käyttäjien kokemuksia itsehoitopalvelupisteistä ja niiden vaikuttavuudesta omaan terveyteen.

Present state report and development proposal for the health care self-service-offices of health centers

This dissertation is linked to the sub-project of Pumppu project of Laurea University of Applied Sciences, the purpose of which is to find means for the progress on the welfare path in the West part of Uusimaa. The Pumppu project will be a supra-regional ERDF financed theme project for the years 2012 –2014 and its objective is to develop welfare services in different areas of Finland. The objective of the dissertation was to develop a concept for health care self-service offices in the area of Perusturvakuntayhtymä Karviainen. The purpose was to clarify the present situation of health care self-service offices and development needs from the staff point of view. The development of the self-service offices is a part of the Metabolic syndrome project of Perusturvakuntayhtymä Karviainen, the aim of which is to find the people at risk of an illness already before the diagnosis.

Dissemination method for developing of self-service offices was used, in which case the objective is with the help of different learning processes to utilize the tacit knowledge of the staff and implement a new course of action for the work community. To clarify the present situation a qualitative research method was used and a questionnaire which was delivered to two interviewees was drawn up. The answers were obtained by interviewing and by e-mail with the help of an open question form. The answers were transcribed and classified with the method of content analysis and based on them the description of the present state was formed. After this the description was delivered to the staff of Perusturvakuntayhtymä Karviainen for comments and to reveal the tacit knowledge.

By comparing the theoretical and examined information, the results of an interview and inquiry, as well as impression of the staff, the present state and development needs of the health care self-service offices were clarified. On the basis of them the development proposal for self-service offices was drawn up. The development proposal drew particular attention to self-service office location, the advertising and communication.

In the future, the results of this work can be utilized in the development of practical operations and it can be carried out as cooperation between the nurse students of Laurea University of Applied Sciences and Perusturvakuntayhtymä Karviainen. To support the development work of implementers a questionnaire form for service users was drawn up. The purpose of the inquiry is to clarify the users' experiences of the use of health care self-service offices and their impact on the users’ own health.
