Tilaustenkäsittelyn tehostaminen toiminnanohjausjärjestelmän avulla räätälöidyn tuotannon pk-yrityksessä Case: Ylämaan Graniitti Oy

Abstract

Opinnäytetyön aiheena on tilaustenkäsittelyn tehostaminen toiminnanohjausjärjestelmän avulla yrityksessä, joka valmistaa mittatilaustasoja. Yritys toimii pk-sektorilla, ja työssä tarkasteltiin tämän sektorin erityispiirteitä tällaisten hankintojen suunnittelussa ja toteutuksessa. Pääpaino työssä oli paremman tehokkuuden saavuttaminen juuri tilaustenkäsittelyssä. Työssä sivuttiin investoinnin etuja myös muissa toiminnoissa ja käsiteltiin ERP-investoinnin kannattavuutta liiketoiminnan näkökulmasta. Työn tarkoitus on selvittää, voidaanko ERP-ratkaisulla ratkaista pk-sektorilla toimivan kivitasotehtaan tilaustenkäsittelyyn liittyvät ongelmat ja tehostaa tilaustenkäsittelyä. Case-yritys on Ylämaan Graniitti Oy.

Case-yritys on jakanut toiminnanohjausinvestoinnin kahteen osaan. Ensimmäinen vaihe on tehostaa case-yrityksen myyntipalvelun ja jälleenmyyjien välistä tiedonsiirtoa. Toisena vaiheena on tehostaa tilaustenkäsittelyn ja tuotannon välinen tiedonsiirto. Opinnäyte keskittyy juuri tämän ensimmäisen vaiheen tarkasteluun.

Työ toteutettiin laadullisella tutkimusmenetelmällä havainnoimalla ja kuvaamalla Ylämaan Graniitti Oy:n toimintoja. Tutkimusmateriaalina on käytetty yrityksen omia tilastoja ja yrityksestä saatuja tietoja. Yrityksessä on myös tehty opinnäytetyötä varten erillisiä tilastoja.

Teoriaosuudessa käsitellään toiminnanohjausjärjestelmiä ja niiden käyttöä pk-sektorilla sekä näiden järjestelmien käytön avulla saavutettavia hyötyjä. Lisäksi käytiin läpi ongelmat, joita pk-yritys voi kohdata suunnitellessaan toiminnanoh-jausjärjestelmän hankintaa. Teoriaosuudessa käytiin myös läpi yrityksen tilaus-toimitusprosessin kuvaaminen toimintojen hahmottamista ja yksinkertaistamista varten. Ajan merkitys tilaus-toimitusprosessissa oli yhtenä osa-alueena teoriaosuudessa, koska case-yritys toimii sektorilla, jolla toimitusaika ja joustavuus ovat tärkeitä kilpailutekijöitä. Tilaus-toimitusprosessi ja toiminnanohjausjärjestelmäinvestoinnin kannattavuus olivat yhtenä osa-alueena teoriaosuudessa.

Empiriaosassa näillä kuvauksilla case-yrityksestä osoitettiin, että tilaus-toimitusprosessin osia muuttamalla ja automatisoimalla toimintoja on mahdollista lyhentää yrityksen toimitusaikaa ja selkeyttää toimintoja. Yritys myös saavuttaa taloudellisia ja ei-taloudellisia etuja tilaustenkäsittelyssä.

The subject of this study is to find out if it is possible to make order processing more effective and profitable by using Enterprise Resource Planning system. The case company Ylämaan Graniitti is a small and medium sized company and one theme of this study is to find out what kind of expectations and special needs this kind of companies have when they are planning this kind of invest-ments. The main thing was to concentrate on effectiveness in order processing. Also other effects of the ERP investment were considered in company´s other actions. The objective of this study was to find out if it would be possible to solve problems that the case company have in order processing by using Enterprise Resource Planning system and make the order processing operations more effective. The case company has divided the ERP investment into two parts. The first part is to make the information flow between the order processing of Ylämaan Graniitti and retailers more effective and the second part is to make the information flow between the order processing and production of Ylämaan Graniitti more effective. This study concentrates on the first part of this ERP investment. The study was made by a qualitative research method by observing and de-scribing the operations of the case company. The research material was the statistics of the case company and other information that was received from the case company. The case company also have done some statistics for this study. In the theory part the ERP systems and benefits that are possible to reach with it in small and medium sized sector are considered. Also problems that small and medium sized companies can meet when they are planning this kind of investment are considered. In theory part the operations of the case company`s order-delivery chain was described to find out the operations that the company is doing to understand the process. In the empirical part it was shown with de-scriptions that it is possible to make delivery time shorter and clarify the opera-tions by using ERP software. It is also possible to get financial and non-financial benefits in order processing by using the ERP implementation. Also the meaning of time in the order-delivery process was considered because the case company is working on a field where delivery time and flexibility are important competitive factors. The order-delivery process and effectiveness of the ERP investment were one sector of this study.
