Abstract

Yhteys-teos on Imatran taidemuseon ikkunanurkkaukseen luotu installaatio. Pyrkimyksenä oli luoda mystinen tila, jossa vanha valkoinen, ulko- ja sisätilaan jakautuva kirkonpenkki tuntuu kommunikoivan ikkunaseinästä avautuvan jokimaiseman kanssa. Taiteilija pyrkii työllään kertomaan luontosuhteestaan. Luonto on koti, temppeli ja parantaja. Kirjallinen työ tutkii Vuoksea vanhana, voimaa antavana paikkana ja luonnon tärkeyttä yleensä. Se kertoo ympäristöystävällisiin arvoihin perustuvasta työprosessista.

The work “Connection” is an installation. The purpose of the study was to develop a mystical space. A white old church bench confronting the beautiful landscape to the Vuoksi River are in communication with each other. The aim was to transmit the artists way of relating with the nature. Nature is home, a temple and a healer. The work examines the Vuoksi River as an old holy place and the importance of the nature in general. It tells about the ecologic way of the working process.
