Casio V-R100 : kassajärjestelmän tietoliikenteen suunnittelu

Abstract

Tämän opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli tutustua Casio V-R100 -kassajärjestelmään ja tutkia sen ominaisuuksia tietoliikenteen kannalta. Työssä tarkasteltiin erilaisia mahdollisuuksia toteuttaa tietoliikenneratkaisuja, joiden avulla kyetään tarjoamaan tuotteesta valmiiksi konfiguroituja paketteja yrityksille. Tarkoituksena oli parantaa kilpailukykyä muihin markkinoilla oleviin laitteisiin nähden. Työ toteutettiin yhdessä konttorikoneliike Sarin-Väisänen Oy:n kanssa, joka myy kassa- ja maksupäätteitä.

Casio V-R100 koostuu Android-tabletista, kuittikirjoittimesta, maksupäätteestä ja kassalaatikosta. Pääpaino opinnäytetyössä on android-laitteen tietoturvan lisäämi-nen ja pilvipalveluiden ja big datan mahdollisuuksien kartoittaminen. Erilaiset mobiiliturvasovellukset ovat viime vuosina lisääntyneet älypuhelin ja tablet-tietokoneiden käytössä.

Pilvipalvelut ja Big data osuus toteutettiin teoreettiselta pohjalta, koska myyntiin ja analyysiin tarkoitetut palvelut eivät olleet vielä syksyllä 2013 käytössä. Palve-luiden käyttöönotto viivästyi, ja käytännössä testejä ei voitu suorittaa.

Käytännön osuus ja toteutus tehtiin Sarin-Väisänen Oy:n tiloissa Lahdessa, ja käytössä oli Casio V-R100 -kassajärjestelmä. Työn tuloksena Casio V-R100 -kassajärjestelmän virustorjuntaohjelmaksi valittiin F-Secure mobile security. Verkkotulostusmahdollisuus ja pilvipalveluiden hyödyntäminen jätettiin myö-hempään ajankohtaan.

The objective of this Bachelor’s thesis was to explore the Casio V-R100 point of sale terminal and to discover its telecommunications features. The feasibility of a variety of telecommunications solutions were studied, enabling suitable configura-tions of the product to be offered to companies. The aim was to improve the com-petitiveness of the product, compared to other similar devices. The thesis was do-ne for Sarin-Väisänen Oy, which sells cash registers and payment terminals.

Casio V-R100 consists of an Android tablet, a receipt printer, a payment terminal and a cash register drawer. The main focus of the thesis was to increase the securi-ty of the Android device and to examine the possibilities of cloud computing and big data. The number of mobile security applications has increased in recent years in smartphone and tablet operating system use. The cloud computing and big data part of the thesis is on a theoretical level, as the services were not yet available in autumn 2013. The introduction of services was-delayed and the practical tests could not be performed.

The practical part was carried out in Sarin-Väisänen Oy's premises in Lahti and there was a Casio V-R100 cash register system available for test use. The result of this work is a Casio V-R100 point of sale system equipped with F-secure mobile security application as antivirus software. The possibility of network printing and utilizaiton of cloud services was left to a later date.
