Ikäihmisten palvelukodin turvallisuus

Abstract

Opinnäytetyössä tutkin ikäihmisten palvelukodin turvallisuutta eri näkökulmista käyttäen esimerkkinä Seinäjoen Törnävällä sijaitsevaa kerrostaloa. Asuinkerrostalona vuodesta 1977 tähän päivään saakka palvellut rakennus peruskorjataan ja muutetaan ikäihmisten tehostettuun palveluhoitoon tarkoitetuksi palvelukodiksi. Rakennus on tällä hetkellä vielä purkuvaiheessa. Ikäihmisten palvelukodin turvallisuuden ohella tutkin myös palvelukodin esteettömyyttä, joka on vahvasti sidoksissa turvallisuuteen tällaisessa kohteessa.

Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli saada tuleviin samankaltaisiin kohteisiin eräänlainen ohjekirja turvallisuudesta niin ikäihmisten palvelukotien suunnitteluun kuin toteutukseen sekä mahdollisesti myös tuleville asiakkaille.

Opinnäytetyö on tehty yhteistyössä rakennuksen omistajan kanssa.

I explored the safety in an elderly persons’ service home from different points of view as my thesis, using an old apartment house as the subject. The building locates in Törnävä area in Seinäjoki and it was built in 1977. The apartment house is renovated and its’ purpose of use changes to a service home meant for elderly persons’ intensified service care. At the moment, some of the structures in the building are taken into pieces. Accessibility is strongly connected to safety, particularly in the elderly persons’ safety home and therefore I studied accessibility alongside safety.

The objective of the thesis was to achieve a certain type of an instruction book about the safety in elderly persons’ service homes for similar types of building projects in the future. The instruction book could serve both designers and the constructor and possibly also future customers.

The thesis was made in cooperation with the owner of the apartment house.
