Inside Interplanetary -kirjasen taitto ja ohjeiston luominen : Case: Team Jolly Roger

Abstract

Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena on tehdä taitto Team Jolly Roger -nimisen yrityksen Inside Interplanetary -nimiselle kirjaselle. Kirjanen on eräänlainen kuvakirja tai Kulissien takana -lehti yrityksen tämän hetken suurimmalle videopelille, Interplanetarylle. Tämän lisäksi yritykselle suunniteltiin pieni setti t-paitakuvioita. Kirjasta ja t-paitaa tullaan hyödyntämään mahdollisesti kampanjoissa, erityisesti Internet-kampanjoissa Team Jolly Roger on kajaanilainen pelialan yritys, joka syntyi pienen suomalais-ryhmän ideasta ja josta tuli virallinen yritys vuonna 2013. He ovat jo tehneet pelejä aiemmin mobiililaitteille ja alihankintaa muille yrityksille. Heidän suurin projektinsa on videopeli nimeltä Interplanetary, PC:lle tuleva scifi-strategiapeli, joka on julkaistu vuoden 2014 keväällä. Työn lopputuloksena tulee graafinen ohjeisto, joka sisältää kirjasen taiton sekä Interplanetary- ja Inside Interplanetary -tunnuksen käytön.

The aim of this thesis is to create a layout for an company called Team Jolly Roger for their booklet called Inside Interplanetary. The booklet is a kind of picture book or Behind the scenes leaflet for their biggest video game at the moment, Interplanetary. In addition, a small t-shirt print set was designed for the company. The booklet and t-shirt print will most likely be used in marketing campaigns, especially in Internet campaigns. Team Jolly Roger is a gaming industry company based in Kajaani, which was born from a small Finnish group’s idea and finally became an official company in year 2013. They have made games for mobile and done some subcontracting for other companies. Their biggest project is a videogame called Interplanetary, a scifi strategy game for PCs, which will come out sometime in the spring of 2014. The final result of this thesis will be graphic guidelines, which include the layout of the booklet and the use of Interplanetary’s and Inside Interplanetary’s logo.
