Miau! : Kappaleita aloittelevalle klarinetistille

Abstract

Opinnäytetyö on kaksiosainen. Raporttiosassa kerrotaan klarinetinsoiton aloituksessa mahdollisesti esiintyvistä fyysisistä rajoituksista ja raportin loppuosassa esitellään ”Play Along” -vihkon tekemisen vaiheita ja haasteita. Opinnäytetyön toinen osa on ”Play Along” -vihko ja -cd aloittavalle klarinetistille. Molemmat sisältävät kaksi opinnäytetyön tekijän omaa sävellystä ja loput kappaleet on sovitettu kansan- ja lastenlauluista erilaisille kokoonpanoille. Levyllä jokaisesta kappaleesta on kaksi eri raitaa, joista ensimmäisessä on klarinetti mukana ja toisessa on vain pelkkä tausta. Projektia varten sävelletyissä kappaleissa on erityisesti huomioitu juuri soiton aloittaneet klarinetistit. Jokaisessa kappaleessa pyritään opettelemaan jokin uusi musiikillinen asia. Työ on tarkoitettu opetuskäyttöön. Tekijä toivoo, että vihkolle ja äänitteelle olisi kysyntää myös muualla Suomessa ja miksi ei ulkomaillakin, koska vastaavaa materiaalia ei ole saatavilla suomeksi vielä kovin paljoa. Projektin tuloksena syntyi uusi soittovihko ja Play Along –levy. Tekijä kokee kehittyneensä pedagogina ja sovitusten tekijänä. Sovituksissa jouduttiin miettimään sopivat sävellajit niin korkeuden kuin etumerkkien mukaan aloittavalle klarinetistille. Opinnäytetyön tekijä oppi kuuntelemaan sovituksia uudella, erilaisella korvalla.

The thesis consists of two parts. The report section describes some physical limitations that may appear when starting playing the clarinet and the final section presents the “Play Along” bookletmaking steps and challenges. The second part is the “Play Along” booklet and cd for a commencing clarinetist. Both contain two of the thesis author’s own composition and the rest of the songs are arrangements of folk and children’s songs for different ensembles. Each song in the album has two different tracks: the first one includes the clarinet and the other is just a mere background. Composed music for the project, in particular, takes into account the level of just started playing clarinets. Each chapter seeks to teach some new musical thing. The work is intended for educational purposes. The author hopes that the booklet and recording will be in demand in other parts of Finland, and why not even abroad, because there is not much corresponding material available in Finnish. The project resulted in a new notebook and Play Along-disk. The author feels that she developed as a pedagogue and maker of arrangements. It was necessary to consider suitable types of tone as the height of the sign for a commencing clarinetist in arrangements. The author learned to listen to the arrangements with a new, different ear.
