AKUUTTIHOIDON LAITTEIDEN KÄYTTÄJÄKOULUTUS KSSHP:SSÄ

Abstract

Tiivistelmä Opinnäytetyön toimeksiantaja oli Keski-Suomen sairaanhoitopiiri. Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli kehittää akuutin hoidon laitteiden käyttäjäkoulutusta potilasturvallisemmaksi. Kehittää siihen liittyvää laiteajokorttia ja selkeyttää toimiyksiköiden laitevastaavien toimenkuvaa. Opinnäytetyön tiedonkeruu menetelminä käytettiin benchmarkingia ja teemahaastattelua. Benchmarking toteutettiin teemahaastatteluna ja täydennettiin sähköpostihaastatteluna sekä käytettiin myös puhelinhaastattelua.

Opinnäytetyön tuloksissa saatiin selville, ettei nykyinen laitekoulutus anna riittävää varmuutta vaativaan akuuttihoidon laitteiden käyttöön. Laitekoulutuksen kattavuutta, saatavuutta ja osaamisen varmistamista voidaan parantaa haastateltavien antamilla parannusehdotuksilla. Niistä esille nousi laitekoulutuksen ja laitekannan yhtenäistäminen sekä laadukkaan laitekoulutuksen saatavuuden varmistaminen.

Osaamisen varmistamiseen haluttiin myös parannusta ja siihen, että laitekoulutukseen on oma aika. Nykyisessä koulutusjärjestelmässä hoitaja on usein koulutuksen ajan hoitotyön tavoitettavissa. Erityisesti haluttiin hoitajille selkeää laitekoulutusjärjestelmää. Nykyisessä mallissa vastuu laitekoulutuksen hankkimisesta ja omasta osaamisesta on hoitajalla itsellään. Haipron mukaan laiteosaaminen ei ole ongelma Keski-Suomen keskussairaalassa, mutta huollon mukaan virheellistä laitekäyttämistä on huomattavasti enemmän, kuin virallisesti tulee tietoon.

Laitteisiin tulee koko ajan uusia toimintoja, niiden käytön oppiminen vie yhä enemmän aikaa. Potilaan optimaalisen hoidon turvaamiseksi hoitolaitteiden kattava osaaminen on ensiarvoisen tärkeää. Keski-Suomen keskussairaala voi hyödyntää opinnäytetyön tuloksia laitekoulutussuunnittelussa. Kustannustehokkuus lisääntyy jos käyttövirheistä johtuvat laitehuollot vähenevät ja potilaan hoito tehostuu laiteosaamisen myötä. Hoitajien vaihtelevaa Haipron käyttöä voisi tutkia enemmän, koska se hidastaa myös sairaalalaitteiden tuotekehitystä.

Abstract Central Finland Heath Care District was the assignor of this bachelor's thesis. The aim of this study was to develop the operator training of acute care equipment so that it was safer for the patients. To develop driver's license for the associated device and clarify the job description of the people responsible for the devices in the units. Both benchmarking and interviews were used to collect data for the thesis. Benchmarking was carried out as a theme interview and supplemented as an email interview. Additionally telephone interviews were used.

It was found out that the current training doesn´t provide enough assurance for the demanding use of the acute care equipment. The coverage and availability of training, as well ensuring competence can be improved with the suggestions given by the interviewees.

Device training and the harmonization of the devices used, as well as ensuring the availability of a high-quality device education and training were some of the problems that arose in the interviews. Ensuring competence was also asked for as well as reserving proper time for the. In the current training system, the nurses are often asked to do the training alongside their other work duties. Well-defined device training system for nurses was particularly wanted. In the current model the it is an individual nurse´s responsibility to get device training and improve one`s own competence. According to Haipro, device competence is not a problem at the Central Finland Central Hospital but according to the maintenance, - incorrect usage is much more usual than officially acknowledged.

The devices will have new functions and learning will take more ja more time. To ensure optimal care of the patient it is vitally important to have competence in using the care devices. The Central Finland Central Hospital can make use of the results of the thesis when planning, device training. Cost- effectiveness is increased if equipment maintenance due to operating errors decreases and the patient´s care will be optimized with increased device competence. Variations in the ways nurses use Haipro could be researched more because it also slows down product development of hospital devices.
