Tiivistelmä
Tämä opinnäytetyö tutkii yhteisöviljelyn hyötyjä, kestävän kehityksen eri näkökulmista. Opinnäytetyö on toteutettu empiirisenä tutkimuksena, johon tiedot on kerätty palautekyselyillä, sekä tieteellisistä ja kirjallisista lähteistä. Opinnäytetyön tekijä osallistui myös itse yhteisöviljelyyn Ristinummen viljelylaatikkopuutarhassa
viljelykaudella 2022.
Viljelyyn osallistuneille viljelijöille ja viljelylaatikkoprojektiin osallistuneille sidosryhmille räätälöitiin erilaiset kyselyt. Opinnäytetyön tekijän oma osallistuminen viljelyyn ja havainnointi sen aikana toi arvokasta tietoa ensikertalaisen viljelijän näkökulmasta katsottuna opinnäytetyön tekemistä varten.
Ristinummen viljelylaatikkopuutarhaprojekti vaikutti positiivisesti kestävän kehityksen eri osa-alueilla ja sen tulokset vahvistavatkin jo aikaisemmin tiedossa olleiden yhteisöviljelyn hyötyjen paikkaansa pitävyyttä. This thesis will map the benefits of a community gardening in different perspectives of a sustainable development. The thesis was implemented as an empirical study, for which information has been collected by feedback surveys, also from
scientific and literary sources. The author of the thesis also participated for the community gardening itself in the Ristinummi cultivation box garden in the 2022
gardening season.
Separated surveys were customized for the gardeners who participated for the gardening and for the stakeholders which participated for the cultivation box garden project. The participation in the gardening by the thesis author and observation during it brought valuable information for the thesis from the point of view of a first-time gardener.
The Ristinummi cultivation box garden project had a positive effect on various aspects of sustainable development, and its results confirm the validity of the previously known benefits of community gardening.
