Sosiaalihuollon palvelutarpeen arviointi tai lastensuojeluilmoitus varhaiskasvatuksessa : milloin ja mitä tehdä varhaiskasvatuksessa

Abstract

Varhaiskasvatuksessa sosiaalihuollon palvelutarpeen arvioinnista ja lastensuojeluilmoituksista on liian vähän tietoa. Työntekijät pelkäävät tehdä sosiaalihuollon palvelutarpeen arviointeja ja lastensuojeluilmoituksia. Siihen toivoisimme rohkaisua sekä tietoa työntekijöille. Opinnäytetyömme tarkoituksena on saada varhaiskasvatuksen työntekijät ymmärtämään, millainen hyöty ilmoituksesta saadaan. Oikea-aikaisesta avusta hyötyvät niin lapset, perheet kuin yhteiskunta. Haluamme muistuttaa varhaiskasvatuksen työntekijöitä siitä, että huolen herätessä lapsesta, on asialle silloin tehtävä jotakin.

Sosiaalihuoltolain mukainen ilmoitus on vapaaehtoinen perheille ja se tehdään yleensä vanhempien kanssa yhdessä. Lastensuojeluilmoitus voidaan tehdä myös ilman vanhemman suostumusta. Varhaiskasvatuksen henkilöstö kuuluu lain mukaan ammattiryhmään, kenellä on velvollisuus tehdä lastensuojeluilmoitus.

Opinnäytetyömme ajatuksena on lisätä tietoisuutta ilmoitusten tekemisestä. Olemme tehneet aiheesta PowerPoint oppaan, jossa aiheet on rajattu varhaiskasvatustilanteisiin. Pyrimme lisäämään opinnäytetyöllämme varhaiskasvatuksen henkilöstön tietoisuutta, milloin ja miten palvelutarpeen arviointi ja lastensuojeluilmoitus tehdään ja mitä hyötyä siitä olisi lasten hyvinvoinnille ja yhteiskunnalle. Tämän työn tavoitteena on lisätä varhaiskasvatuksen henkilöstön tietoisuutta ja valmiutta toimia tilanteissa, milloin ja miten tehdä sosiaalihuoltolain mukainen ilmoitus tai lastensuojeluilmoitus lapsesta.

In early childhood education and care, there is too little information on the assessment of the need for social welfare services and child welfare notifications. Employees are afraid to make social welfare service needs assessments and child welfare notifications. We would like encouragement and information for employees to do so. The purpose of our thesis is to make early childhood education workers understand the benefits of notification. Timely assistance benefits children, families and society alike. We would like to remind early childhood education workers that when concerns arise about a child, something must be done about it.

Notification under the Social Welfare Act is voluntary for families and is usually made together with the parents. A child welfare notification can also be submitted without the consent of the parent. According to the law, early childhood education and care personnel belong to a professional group that is obliged to submit a child welfare notification.

The idea of our thesis is to increase awareness of making announcements. We have prepared a PowerPoint guide on the subject, where the topics are limited to early childhood education situations. With our thesis, we aim to increase the awareness of early childhood education staff when about and how to make a service need assessment and child welfare notification and what benefits it would bring to children's well-being and society. The aim of this work is to increase the awareness and readiness of early childhood education staff to act in situations, when and about how to submit a notification of a child under the Social Welfare Act or a child welfare notification.
