Tiivistelmä
WinWinD Ltd. is a company that manufactures and supplies wind turbines with the focus on offering optimized tailor-made solutions.
The aim of this thesis is to make a fully working Business Continuity Plan solu-tion for the company, as it is lacking one. The company is interested in knowing how to keep operating if most business critical processes fail. The aim is to meet the requirements of the Commissioner so that the company would have a product they can use with confidence in the future.
In order to develop the end solution, the background study of what the whole concept of Business Continuity Planning (BCP) means, had been done. After acknowledging the theoretical foundations of the BCP concept and gathering the necessary data, the BCP had been developed.
The BCP for the company itself was quite a self-explanatory solution, once all pieces started falling into their places. The Commissioner is pleased with the end product, which is now taken into use.
The thesis is based on qualitative approach. The data is collected primarily from interviews, articles and books; however, own experience is taken into use as well.
