| dc.description.abstract | The study was carried out focusing on the aspect of employee turnover in the medical transcription business in Nepal. The main objectives of the study were to find out the employees' reasons for quitting and staying in the jobs in that field.
A quantitative approach was used in the study. An online survey was conducted in order to collect information. The respondents of the survey, who were 127 in total, included both medical transcriptionists and quality analysts.
The significant differences were revealed between medical transcriptionists' and quality analysts' reasons for quitting and staying in the jobs. The primary reason reported by quality analysts for quitting the jobs was 'organization was not doing well' whereas 'getting another job elsewhere' was reported by medical transcriptionists as their prime reason for quitting the jobs. Meanwhile, 'flexible work schedule' and 'no availability of other job alternatives' were reported as prime reasons for staying in the jobs by quality analysts and medical transcriptionists respectively. | - |
