Lasten- ja nuorten mielenterveystyön palvelujärjestelmä Jyväskylässä

Abstract

Opinnäytetyömme tarkoituksena on tuottaa kokonaiskuva lasten ja nuorten mielenterveystyön palvelujärjestelmästä Jyväskylässä. Tavoitteena on tuottaa päivitettyä sekä ajankohtaista tietoa lasten ja nuorten mielenterveystyön palvelujärjestelmästä. Olemme perehtyneet opinnäytetyössämme myös ennaltaehkäiseviin tahoihin, kuten äitiys- ja lastenneuvolaan. Opinnäytetyön prosessin alussa mielikuvamme lasten- ja nuorten mielenterveystyön palvelujärjestelmästä oli pirstaleinen. Opinnäytetyöprosessimme yhtenä tavoitteena on kasvattaa omaa osaamistamme lasten – ja nuorisopsykiatriasta sekä palvelujärjestelmästä. Myös teeman ajankohtaisuus vaikutti aiheen valintaan. Opinnäytetyö toteutettiin toiminnallisena opinnäytetyönä. Opinnäytetyö koostuu raportista sekä toiminnallisesta osuudesta. Raportti koostuu taustateoriasta eli keskeisimmistä käsitteistä, tutkimuksen kuvauksesta ja sen etenemisestä sekä tuloksista ja johtopäätöksistä. Opinnäytetyön toiminnallinen osuus on diaesitys, johon on kerätty tietoa lasten ja nuorten mielenterveystyön palvelujärjestelmän eri tahoista. Opetusmateriaali testattiin käytännössä pitämällä oppitunti hoitotyön opiskelijoille, dia-esitystä käyttäen. Oppitunnin jälkeen opiskelijat antoivat opetusmateriaalin sisällöstä suullisen ja kirjallisen palautteen.

The thesis deals with children’s and adolescents’ mental health services in Jyväskylä. The purpose of the thesis was to produce a comprehensive view of those services in Jyväskylä. The aim of the thesis was to produce updated and topical information about the service structure. The thesis also focused on the preventive services given, for example, by maternity clinics and child health centres. One of the aims of the thesis process was to increase the authors’ understanding of children’s and adolescents’ psychiatry and the mental health service system. The thesis was implemented as a functional thesis. It contains a report part and an action research part. The report presents the background theory, in other words, the central terms, as well as a description of the research process and of the results and conclusions. The functional part of the thesis was a power-point presentation giving information about the service structure in children’s and adolescents’ mental health care. The teaching material was tested in practise by presenting it as a lecture for nursing students. Oral and written feedback on the content of the teaching material was collected from the students after the lecture.
