Valmistuotevarastojen kehittäminen hierreteollisuudessa

Abstract

Työn toimeksiantajan Metsä Boardin Joutsenon tehtaan tuotannon tehostaminen on muuttanut varastoinnin vaatimuksia. Varastojen nykytila päätettiin selkeyttää opinnäytetyönä. Työn tarkoitus oli tutustua hierretehtaan valmistuotevarastoinnin tämän hetkiseen tilaan ja luoda kehitysehdotuksia.

Opinnäytetyön viitekehyksessä tutustutaan materiaalinhallinnan ja varastoinnin periaatteisiin. Yrityksen varastointia analysoidaan haastattelemalla, empiirisellä tutkimuksella ja simulaatiolla.

Tavoite oli luoda selkeä ja todenmukainen kuva yrityksen valmistuotevarastojen tämänhetkisestä tilanteesta käytettävyyden, tehokkuuden sekä henkilö- ja tuoteturvallisuuden kannalta ja analysoida toimintaa siten, että raportti soveltuu varastotoimintoihin perehdyttämiseen ja varastoinnin kehittämiseen.

Lopuksi pohdinnassa työn tulokset käytiin läpi ja esille nousseista asioista tehtiin johtopäätökset. Myös opinnäytetyön onnistumista ja sen käytännöllisyyttä arvioitiin.

The topic of thesis was given by Metsä Board Joutseno. The factory has enhanced its production and that has changed the requirements for warehousing. The report of the current state of inventories was decided to carry out as a thesis. The purpose was to explore the pulp factory’s warehouses for finished products on the current state and create development proposals.

The theory part consists of materials management and storage policies. The com-pany's warehouses are analyzed by interviewing, evidence-based research and simulation.

Objective of the work was to create a clear and accurate picture of the company's finished products inventories at the moment from the perspective of usability, per-formance, and personnel and product safety and analyze the operation so that the report is suitable for warehouse operations orientation and developing the ware-housing functions.

At the end, I go through the outcome of the work and problems that came up dur-ing the thesis. I reflect on the success of the work, and its practicality.
