Kannabis - kannattaako? : sähköinen päihdekasvatusmateriaali Koulutuskeskus Salpauksessa ammattiin opiskelevien nuorten kannabiskriittisyyden herättelemiseksi ja tietoisuuden lisäämiseksi

Abstract

Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli luoda innovatiivinen sähköinen kannabispäihdekasvatusmateriaali Koulutuskeskus Salpauksessa ammattiin opiskeleville nuorille suunnatun ehkäisevän päihdetyön tukemiseksi. Opinnäytetyö on tehty Lahden kaupungin opiskeluterveydenhuollossa työskentelevien terveydenhoitajien toiveesta. Kannabispäihdekasvatusmateriaalin tavoitteena on antaa nuorille näyttöön perustuvaa tietoa kannabiksesta, herätellä heidän kannabiskriittisyyttään ja vaikuttaa heidän kannabisasenteisiinsa.Sähköisen kannabispäihdekasvatusmateriaalin tekemiseen käytettiin interaktiivista tiedonesittämisohjelmistoa nimeltä Prezi. Materiaalia olivat mukana tekemässä Kannaksen lukion graafisen linjan opiskelijat opettajansa johdolla. Materiaali löytyy osoitteesta www.tinyurl.com/kannattaako. Materiaalin luomisen suunnitteluvaiheessa kysyttiin Koulutuskeskus Salpauksen opiskelijoilta heidän mielipiteitään toimivasta päihdekasvatusmateriaalista. Materiaalin valmistumisen jälkeen tutkittiin, vastasiko materiaali nuorten käsitystä toimivasta päihdekasvatusmateriaalista ja miten he suhtautuivat kannabikseen materiaalin näkemisen jälkeen. Sisällönanalyysi osoitti työn vastanneen nuorten toiveita suurimmalta osalta. Kannabisasenteet eivät liiemmin muuttuneet, suurimmalla osalla kannabisasenne oli jo valmiiksi negatiivinen. Tulevaisuudessa kannabispäihdekasvatusmateriaalia voidaan hyödyntää mm. terveydenhoitajien vastaanottotyössä sekä koulun päihdekasvatuksessa. Jatkossa ehdotetaan kannabispäihdekasvatusmateriaalin levittämistä nuorille, heidän parissaan työskenteleville aikuisille ja nuorten vanhemmille. Myös materiaalin muovaaminen saadun palautteen perusteella olisi kannattavaa vielä vetoavamman valistusmateriaalin luomiseksi.

The purpose of the bachelor’s thesis was to create an innovative electronic material to support the substance abuse prevention directed at the adolescents studying at the further education Salpaus. The thesis was made at the request of the nurses working at the student health care of the city of Lahti. The aim of the material for substance abuse prevention is to give the adolescents evidence based information about cannabis, to rouse their cannabis criticality and affect their attitudes towards cannabis. When creating the electronic cannabis substance abuse prevention material, an interactive presentation software called Prezi was used. Students of the graphic line of the Kannas upper secondary school were involved in making the material under direction of their teacher. The material can be found at www.tinyurl.com/kannattaako. In the planning phase of creating the material, the students of the further education Salpaus were asked for their opinions about an effective substance abuse material. After the material was finished, a study was conducted to find out if the material matched the adolescents' ideas about an effective substance abuse prevention material. The content analysis showed that the material had responded to the adolescents' wishes for the most. The attitudes towards cannabis didn't change much, the majority already had a negative attitude towards cannabis. In the future, the material for substance abuse prevention can among other things be made use of in the work at the public health nurses’ practices and the schools’ drug education. As a proposition for the future, the material is suggested to be distributed to adolescents, the adults working with them and the parents of the adolescents. Also modifying the material on the basis of the feedback received would be worthwhile in order to create a material that’s even more appealing.
