Pilvipalvelut hammaslääkärin ja hammaslaboratorion yhteistyövälineenä

Abstract

Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena on kuvata pilvipalveluita hammaslääkärin ja hammaslaboratorion yhteistyövälineenä. Työssä käsitellään pilvipalveluiden mahdollisuuksia, etuja, riskejä ja uhkia.

Työ toteutettiin haastattelemalla hammasalalla työskenteleviä asiantuntijoita. Haastateltavia olivat erikoishammaslääkäri ja Futudent-kuvausjärjestelmän kehittäjä Peter Rusanen, hammasteknikko Aki Lindén ja Plandent Oy CAD/CAM tuotepäällikkö Sami Jatkola. Työtä varten käytiin myös keskustelua Novocam Medical Innovations Oy:n myyntijohtaja Simo Suden sekä hammasteknikko ja Hammasteknikko -lehden päätoimittaja Anders Wollsténin kanssa. Lisäksi otettiin yhteyttä muutamaan eri pilvipalvelun tarjoajaan hammasalalla. Ai-neisto koottiin tehdyistä haastatteluista ja suullisista tiedonannoista sekä pilvipalveluita ja kommunikaatiota käsittelevistä julkaisuista.

Opinnäytetyön tuloksena voidaan todeta, että pilvipalveluiden käyttöä hammaslääkärin ja hammaslaboratorion välisessä kommunikoinnissa pidettiin erittäin tehokkaana ja monipuolisena yhteistyövälineenä. Toisaalta oltiin myös huolissaan potilastietoturvaan liittyvistä riskeistä. Kuitenkin nähtiin, että pilvipalveluiden käyttö tulee yleistymään hammasalalla, niin kuin se on jo yleistynyt yksityisessä käytössä sekä muiden alojen yrityskäytössä. Lopuksi kerrotaan esimerkkejä Suomessa hammasalalla käytössä olevista pilvipalveluista, jotka tulivat esille opinnäytetyöprosessin aikana.

The aim of this study is to describe cloud computing as a cooperation tool between dentist and dental laboratory. The thesis deals with the opportunities, benefits, risks and threats of cloud computing.

The work was carried out by interviewing dental experts working in the field of dentistry. The interviewees were Special Dentist and Futudent systems Developer Peter Rusanen, Dental Technician Aki Lindén and Plandent Ltd CAD / CAM Product Manager Sami Jatkola. For the thesis there were conversations with Novocam Medical Innovations Ltd National Sales Director in Finland Simo Susi and also with Dental Technician and Hammasteknikko magazine's Editor in Chief Anders Wollstén. In addition, a few different cloud service providers were contacted in the field of dentistry. The data were gathered from the interviews and discussions that were conducted and publications dealing with cloud computing and communication.

As a result of this study shows that the use of cloud computing in communication between the dentist and the dental laboratory was considered a very efficient and versatile instrument for cooperation. On the other hand, there were also concerns about the patient information security. However, it was seen that cloud services will become increasingly common in the field of dentistry as it has become more common for private use as well as other areas of business use. At the end there are further examples of the cloud services in the field of dentistry in Finland which emerged during the thesis process.
