Ensiapuopetus Liuksialan alakoululaisille : Tapahtumapäivä 5B - luokan oppilaille ja tuntimateriaali opettajille

Abstract

Työn tarkoituksena oli järjestää Liuksialan alakoulun 5B – luokan oppilaille ensiapukoulutusta tapahtumapäivän muodossa, sekä tuottaa tuntimateriaalia Kangasalan kunnan opettajien käyttöön. Tuntimateriaali koostui Power Point – esityksestä ja ohjeistuksesta opettajille. Esitys on sama, kuin mikä oppilaille näytettiin tapahtumapäivän teoriaosuudessa. Ohjeistus opettajille tehtiin Power Point – esityksen tueksi, jotta vastaava tapahtumapäivä olisi mahdollista järjestää opettajien toimesta. Tarkoituksena oli myös pitää oppilaille alku- ja lopputestit koskien ensiapua. Testien tavoitteena oli selvittää oliko tapahtumapäivästä oppilaille hyötyä.

Tavoitteina oli selvittää oppilaiden ensiaputietous ennen tapahtumapäivää ja lisääntyikö se tapahtumapäivän jälkeen. Tavoitteena oli myös opettajille tehdyn tuntimateriaalin pohjalta mahdollistaa vastaavan tapahtumapäivän järjestämisen jatkossa. Tuntimateriaalin toimivuutta tämä työ ei enää tutki.

Tässä opinnäytetyössä saavutettiin työn tavoitteet hyvin. Tapahtumapäivän hyödyllisyyttä mitattiin oppilaille järjestetyillä testeillä. Alkutestin tulosten perusteella, valittiin osa tapahtumapäivän aiheista. Kaikki alkutestin teemat käsiteltiin tapahtumapäivän aikana. Alku- ja lopputestien tulokset osoittivat, että tapahtumapäivästä oli oppilaille hyötyä. Vastaavia opinnäytetöitä 4-6 – luokkalaisille on tehty useita, joiden tuloksessa on päästy samaan tulokseen kuin tässä opinnäytetyössä. Myös useissa muissa vastaavissa opinnäytetöissä on tultu siihen tulokseen, että ensiapuopetus on lisännyt oppilaiden tietoja aiheesta.

Tuloksissa näkyi selvä kehitys alku- ja lopputestin välillä. Tuloksia tarkastellessa vertailtiin tyttöjen ja poikien eroavaisuuksia testituloksissa. Tyttöjen tuloksissa osoittautui selkeästi muutama kysymys vaikeammaksi. Pojilla oli enemmän hajontaa väärissä vastauksissa. Lopputulos on sekä tytöillä, että pojilla se, että tietous ensiavusta lisääntyi. Luotettavuutta lisää lopputestin pitäminen oppilaille vasta viikko tapahtumapäivän jälkeen.

The purpose of this Bachelor’s thesis was to organize first aid teaching to Liuksiala primary schools grade 5B in the format of an event day. The purpose was also to produce lesson material to teachers of the town of Kangasala. The lesson material consists of a Power Point –presentation and a guide to teachers. The presentation is the same which was shown to the students in theory part of the event day. Guide for teachers was made to support the Power Point –presentation so they could organize a corresponding event day. The purpose was also to arrange a starting and ending test about first aid. The aim of the tests was to find out if the event day was helpful to the students.

The aims of the thesis were to find out the student’s first aid knowledge before the event day and if it improved after it. The aim was also guarantee that teachers could arrange the same event day in the future by using the guide for teachers. This thesis doesn’t examine anymore if the guide for teachers works.

The aims of the thesis were well achieved. The usefulness of the event day was measured by starting and ending tests. Based on the results of the starting test part of the event day themes were chosen. All themes of the starting test were handled during the event day. Results of the tests show that the event day was of benefit to students. Several similar theses have been is made for grades 4 to 6 with similar results as in this thesis. The others have also achieved the same result that first aid teaching improved students’ knowledge about the subject.

Between starting and ending test there was seen a clear improvement. Girls’ and boys’ differences in test results were studied. Couple of questions clearly turned out to be the hardest. In boys’ results there was more dispersion in wrong answers. Bottom line both girls and boys was that knowledge in first aid improved. When the ending test was made a week after the event day, it increased the results’ authenticity.
