Naisen itsekatetrointi : Opaslehtinen naisen itsekatetroinnista

Abstract

​​Monet erilaiset kliiniset sairaudet voivat vaatia katetrointia rakon epänormaalin tyhjenemisen vuoksi. Virtsarakon katetrointi on yleisin rakkoon kohdistuva hoitotoimenpide, jonka osa potilaista suorittaa itsenäisesti. Oikeaoppisen katetrointitekniikan opettaminen on tärkeää, jotta mahdollisia katetriperäisiä komplikaatioita voidaan ehkäistä ja vähentää.

Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksen oli laatia näyttöön perustuvaan tietoon pohjautuva opaslehtinen naisen itsekatetroinnista. Hyödynsaajia ovat itsekatetrointia tarvitsevat naiset sekä ammattiryhmät, jotka osallistuvat ohjaustilanteisiin. ​ Opinnäytetyön toteutustapana oli tutkimuksellinen kehittämistoiminta. Aineistoa haettiin luotettavista, näyttöön perustuvista lähteistä. Aineistona toimi myös toimeksiantajan haastattelu. Opinnäytetyön lopputuloksena syntyi opaslehtinen naisen itsekatetroinnista. Oppaassa on koottuna tieto, mitä nainen tarvitsee, jotta hän voi suorittaa toimenpiteen turvallisesti ja itsenäisesti sairaalan ulkopuolella. Jatkokehitysehdotuksena on kartoittaa kohderyhmän saama hyöty opaslehtisestä.

Many different clinical conditions may require catheterization due to abnormal bladder emptying. Bladder catheterization is the most common bladder treatment procedure, which some patients perform independently. Teaching the correct catheterization technique is important to prevent and reduce possible catheter-related complications.

The purpose of the thesis was to prepare a guidebook on female self-catheterization based on evidence-based information. Beneficiaries are women who need self-catheterization and professional groups that participate in guidance situations.

The method of implementation of the thesis was research and development activities. The material was obtained from reliable, evidence-based sources. The interview with the client also served as material. The result of the thesis was a guidebook on self-catheterization of women. The guide contains the information a woman needs so that she can make the procedure safely and independently outside the hospital. A proposal for further development is to map the benefits of the guidebook for the target group.
