Tiivistelmä
This thesis was commissioned by Nokia, where they are developing a system which would enable testing of multiple devices at the same time using micro services to share instruments by reserving instruments only for time needed for testing. Configurations for these services can become complex, so a configuration service is wanted to make configurations easier.
The purpose of this thesis project was to find good solutions for developing and deploying the Web-based configuration service and then develop and deploy the first version of service backend. Theory of deploying services part is also useful for other service deployment.
The purpose was achieved by using the existing knowledge and further research of Web-based application development. This led to a decision of developing the application as a two separate services, frontend and backend, using JavaScript as a common coding language. Once the service was mature enough, it was deployed and tested in private cloud at Nokia.
