Loval Oy:n sisäisen logistiikan tehostaminen

Abstract

Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli tutustua toimeksiantajan Loval Oy:n tehdasrakennuksen logistiseen toimintaan ja tunnistaa siitä erilaisia toimintaa haittaavia tekijöitä. Työn lopullisena tavoitteena on tuoda esille erilaisia ehdotuksia toiminnan parantamiseksi.

Opinnäytetyön teoriaosuudessa esitellään työhön liittyviä keskeisiä termejä sekä käydään läpi minkälainen prosessi Lean on. Lisäksi teoriassa käydään läpi, mistä Lean-filosofia on saanut alkunsa sekä minkälaiset periaatteet ohjaavat toimintaa. Leanin 5S-työkalusta kerrotaan sen toiminta ja mihin sillä pyritään.

Työssä käytetty tutkimusmenetelmä oli laadullinen ja aineistoa kerättiin pääasiassa havainnoimalla ja osittain strukturoimattomilla teemahaastatteluilla. Havainnointien avulla selvitettiin logistisen toiminnan pullonkauloja ja haastatteluiden kautta selvitettiin, toistuuko sama ongelma monen työntekijän kanssa sekä onko jokin pullonkaula jäänyt havainnoimatta.

Opinnäytetyön lopputuloksena sisäisen logistiikan pullonkauloja ja ongelmia kartoitettiin ja esitettiin erilaisia toimenpiteitä niiden poistamiseksi. Inventoitavien tavaroiden lajittelua vähentämällä oikean nimikkeen etsimistä, lisäksi työntekijän toistuvaa trukkiin siirtymistä ja siitä poistumista vähennetään. Toimeksiantoja selvennetään standardisoimalla toimeksiannot ja siirtämällä ne pois muiden viestien seasta, mikä vähentää selvittelyyn käytettyä aikaa.

The purpose of this thesis was to examine the inner logistics of the commissioner and identify factors that slow down the operation. The aim was to discover solutions to increase work performance.

In the theory part of this thesis, the relevant terminology is introduced, and the lean process is described. Furthermore, the origins of Lean -philosophy and its principles as well as the operational model and aim of Lean 5S.

In this thesis, a qualitative research method was used, and the material was collected primarily observation and secondarily with unstructured interviews. Observation was used to identify bottlenecks in the logistics operations, and interviews were used to see if a particular bottleneck had been unnoticed during observation and identify if multiple workers had experienced same problems

The results of this thesis comprise the exploration of bottlenecks and problems in the inner logistics and introduction of potential solutions. It is suggested that the Sorting of inventory should be re-organized to reduce the time spent finding the correct item and decrease repeated movement of workers and out of a forklift. Assignments should be made clearer by standardizing them and isolating them from other communication to to expedite their completion.
