Breastfeeding and the importance: an education evening for foreigners in Kokkola

Abstract

This project therefore is to organize a talk or lecture for mothers and expecting mothers about the importance of breast feeding. English and Arabic speaking families are the mean target group as they hardly get service in their respective languages in Kokkola but Finnish families who understand English or Arabic and are interested would not be left out. The focus is base on the importance of breastfeeding in the areas of early interaction and bonding, nutrients in breast milk and also about the economical benefits as well as breastfeeding as a contraceptive method.
