Pakkauslavatuotannon logistiikan tehostaminen

Abstract

Tässä työssä selvitettiin keinoja tehostaa Oplax Oy:n Kemin tehtaan sisäistä ja ulkoista logistiikkaa.

Tehtaan toimintaa selvitettiin työn ohessa havainnoimalla ja henkilöhaastatteluilla. Teoriaosassa tarkasteltiin logistiikan osa-alueita: raaka-aineen hankintaa, varastointia ja tuotantoa.

Kemin tehtaan lavatuotantoa tehdään vuonna 2008 investoidulla kokoonpanolinjalla. Lavojen lisäksi tehtaalla tehdään paperituotannossa käytettäviä paperihylsyjä sekä varastoidaan paperin pahvipakkauksia. Tuotanto tehdään automatisoidulla tuotantolinjalla, jossa käyttöhenkilöstöä tarvitaan vain lisäämään sahatavaraa koneeseen sekä korjaamaan mahdolliset häiriöt ja viat.

Tehtaan tuotantoa tehdään tilausohjautuvasti. Raaka-ainevarasto oli työn alkaessa niin suuri, että sahatavaraa saattoi pilaantua liian pitkien varastointiaikojen takia. Sitä pienennettiin. Myös tuotevaraston varastosaldo oli liian korkea ja sitä pienennettiin samoin työn aikana. Nyt se on järkevällä tasolla siten, että puskuria on kuitenkin eniten meneville tuotteille.

Tuotannossa koneiden toimivuus aiheuttaa ongelmia välillä. Lisäksi niiden tuotevaihtoihin liittyvät asetusajat olivat pitkiä. Tähän auttaa koneiden kunnossapidon tehostaminen.

Tiedonkulku organisaatiossa on hyvällä tasolla. Huolellisuuden lisääminen tehostaisi tuotantoa omalta osaltaan.

This thesis was conducted on the logistics of wooden pallet manufacturing for Oplax Oy. The aim of the study was to investigate the logistics related to the manufacturing process in order to improve the overall efficiency.

Research method was observation of the process during the work time and by the means of personal interviews. In the theory section the subareas of the logistics were studied i.e. raw materials, storing and manufacturing.

The wooden pallets are made in the production line installed in 2008. Beyond the wooden pallets also paper sleeves are manufactured and cardboard pack-ages are stored for the customers. The production line is automatized and op-eration personnel is needed only for feeding the sawn timber and maintaining the line.

The production is run by customer orders. The size of the raw materials storage was so large at the beginning of the thesis that occasionally the sawn timber was deteriorated due to the too long stocking periods. The product storage ca-pacity was also too high and it was reduced during the thesis work and now it is on the appropriate level. There is still buffer for the best-selling products, how-ever. The availability of the machines has caused problems occasionally. The set up times during the product switches were also too long. The intensifying of the maintenance is the key in the improvement of these matters.

The flow of information in the organization is in the satisfactory level. Improvement of the diligence in the production is also an important factor in improving the overall efficiency.
