ABL90 Flex -verikaasuanalysaattorin perehdytysmateriaali hoito- ja laboratoriohenkilökunnalle

Abstract

Terveydenhuollon ammattihenkilöiden suorittama vieritestaus laboratorion ulkopuolella on vahvassa kasvussa. Verikaasuanalysaattoria käytetään paljon vieritestauslaitteina. Vieritestillä saadaan potilaan tulokset nopeasti ja niiden avulla tehdään nopeitakin hoitopäätöksiä. Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli tuottaa ABL90 Flex -perehdytysmateriaali hoito- ja laboratoriohenkilökunnalle. Tavoitteena oli hoito- ja laboratoriohenkilökunnan osaamisen kehittäminen ja näytteenotossa sekä analysoinnissa tapahtuvien virheiden vähentäminen. Toimeksiantaja oli Fimlab Laboratorio Oy Keski-Suomen keskussairaalassa sijaitseva toimipiste.

Opinnäytetyö toteutettiin toiminnallisena opinnäytetyönä. Perehdytysmateriaalille oli tarve, koska verikaasujen analysointiin tarkoitetut laitteet uusittiin. Ohjeistus toteutettiin perehdytysmateriaalina hoito- ja laboratoriohenkilökunnalle. Ohjeistuksen avulla haluttiin lisätä verikaasunäytteenoton osaamista ja yhdenmukaistaa verikaasujen analysointi laboratorion ja osaston välillä. Huolellisesti laadittu perehdytysmateriaali on tärkeä osa työntekijän perehdyttämistä työhön. Perehdytysmateriaalin avulla perehdytettävä voi opiskella ja tarkistaa asioita myös jälkeenpäin varsinaisen perehdytyksen loputtua. Opinnäytetyö käsittelee ABL90 Flex -verikaasuanalysaattorin ominaisuudet, kapillaarinäytteenoton sekä ruisku- ja kapillaarinäytteiden käsittelyä ja analysointia.

Point of Care testing carried out by a qualified health care professional is strongly increasing. Blood gas analysers are used to a great extent as Point of Care testing equipment. By Point of Care testing the patients’ results can be quickly obtained, and with their help it is also possible to make quick treatment decisions. The purpose of this thesis was to produce ABL90 Flex introduction material for nursing and laboratory staff. The aim was to increase the practical skills of nursing and laboratory staff and decrease possible mistakes when taking samples and analysing blood tests. The commissioner of the thesis was Fimlab Laboratory Ltd in Central Finland Central Hospital.

The thesis was carried out as a functional thesis. There was a clear demand for introductory materials because of the acquisition of new equipment for blood gas analysis. Thus, introduction material was produced for the nursing and laboratory personnel. The aim was that with the help of the intructions the staff would become more skilled in taking blood gas tests and that the work done by the laboratory and the wards would be standardised. Carefully planned material is an important part of employees’ introduction to their work. With the help of this material the employees can learn and cheek matters also after the actual introduction. This thesis deals with the qualities of the ABL90 Flex Blood Gas Analyser, as well as taking capillary samples and the handling and analysis of both syringe and capillary samples.
