Tiivistelmä
This thesis studies how to integrate Cisco's Industrial Control Systems course into Metropolia's Moodle platform as a MOOC course. The research looks at how well the existing course structure works by using it directly and analyzing current educational technology in engineering programs.
The study finds good opportunities to improve integration through reflective assessment methods that add to rather than replace the course's existing quiz system. Key results show that while the course has strong theoretical foundations and good simulation capabilities through Cisco Packet Tracer, successful Moodle integration needs careful balance between keeping authentic educational content and using advanced digital learning technologies.
This research recommends implementation approaches that focus on practical application through structured reflective questions while addressing concerns about AI-generated visual content authenticity in technical education. This pre-study provides essential groundwork for academic institutions seeking to integrate industrial standard industrial automation curricula within established learning management systems.
