Tiivistelmä
Organizational change management has been viewed as a critical factor for business success. Financial and administrative leadership roles were examined as key elements during change processes. The purpose of the study was to understand how these leadership functions influence change outcomes. The objectives included analyzing financial leadership in resource planning and risk management. Another objective was to explore administrative leadership’s role in communication and cultural alignment. A final objective was to examine the collaboration between financial and administrative leadership.
A qualitative research design was followed using a case study strategy. Four semi-structured interviews, structured observations, and organizational records were used as data sources. Participants included senior financial and administrative leaders actively involved in change initiatives. Thematic analysis was applied to identify patterns and major leadership behaviors. Triangulation across interviews, observations, and organizational insights was conducted to strengthen validity and credibility.
The findings showed that financial leaders played a major role in resource allocation decisions. They ensured that budgets were aligned with strategic goals and long-term financial health. Administrative leaders acted as key communicators during change, reducing confusion and emotional resistance. They helped align new strategies with organizational culture and employee expectations. Collaboration be-tween financial and administrative leadership was found to enhance overall change success. Organizations with strong cross-functional leadership experienced smoother transitions and higher employee trust.
It was concluded that both financial and administrative leadership must work together closely. Effective leadership during change combines strategic planning, transparent communication, and emotional sup-port. Organizations should invest in leadership development that includes financial, operational, and emotional intelligence skills. Early collaboration between financial and administrative teams is recommended for all major change initiatives. Leadership presence, communication clarity, and empathy are essential to drive sustainable change and organizational adaptability.
