Tiivistelmä
This thesis looked at the prospects and challenges of small and medium scale enterprises in Africa in the 21st century. Qualitative means of data collection were employed using interviews. The result of the interviews showed that the challenges of small and medium scale industries in Nigeria include insufficient funds, infrastructural problems and so on. The prospects of small and medium scale enter-prises in this 21st century Africa include economic growth and development, source of employment and improvement in the welfare of people.
The recommendations were made for stakeholders including government, entrepreneurs and employees.
